About this listen

Pain. Chaos. Happiness?

Dominic Hart was screwed.

Diagnosed with terminal cancer, no money for treatment, and an athletic scholarship hanging by a thread...he didn't have many options. But the university clinic had offered him a free video game. Some sort of "therapy", they said. A way to while away the hours until he kicked the bucket. Yay.

What Dom wasn't expecting was to get swindled by a surly casino owner right out of the gate. Or get dropped in a backwater hellhole voted the “number one worst starting location in Awaken Online". That might have been because a video game mafia controlled the city. Or maybe it was because even the plant life could kill you. Regardless, his shit luck had obviously tagged along for the ride.

But that's life. The odds are stacked in the house's favor, you're running out of chips, and you have to decide to hit or fold. For Dom, he decided to go all in. What did he really have to lose?

It's just his life and happiness hanging in the balance.

More Please

I haven’t even finished the book, so maybe a bit premature, but I find myself trying to pace Vs binge to savor the story, Why is this a side quest? This is more than worthy of being it’s own 3 book series. I see the hours counting down and all I want is more!

10/10 Again.

Travis Bagwell should be dubbed one of the fathers of VRRPG LIT. Always an amazing story, Always an excellent world builder, AlWays great character development. This man creates world's that you can get trapped into. I can't wait for this series to continue.
On the other hand, Mr.Stifel is one of the best narrators and as always a perfect match for this series. Always giving life to the characters with his range of pitch and emotions.

another home run!

Travis Bagwell is a genius. Plot, setting, character; it's all well fleshed out and ever expanding into the sort of series I'd be proud to have in paperback in my personal library. This theme of living life to the fullest, embracing our mortality and developing our character through tribulation is rarely executed as well in other works of the genre.

Amazing, even better than the main story!

Travis has been kicking butts and taking names with these last few titles, the adventures with Finn and now this one with Dom have been, in my opinion, slightly better stories than even the original set with Jason, looking forward to more!
