Story
Jenifer Lewis keeps it real in this provocative and touching memoir by a Midwestern girl with a dream whose journey from poverty to Hollywood will move, shock, and inspire listeners. Told in the audacious voice her fans adore, Jenifer describes a road to fame made treacherous by dysfunction and undiagnosed mental illness, including a sex addiction. Yet, supported by loving friends and strengthened by "inner soldiers", Jenifer never stopped entertaining and creating.

She is phenomenal! Watching her all these years has been a joy especially when everything she does is so honest. You can tell she always puts a little of herself in every character she plays and I just LOVE that. I definitely LOVE how she says "uh Lil Girl" LOL. CONGRATULATIONS Auntie Jenny!

Carolyn McCormick was great as usual, though Claire sound a little different in this one. Maybe it was me. I definitely got sad hearing the doctor's chilling account of how her scumbag husband was raping her daughter. Just broke my heart.

Story
Master of suspense James Patterson continues the Women's Murder Club series with this nail-biter of a sequel to 1st to Die. Four women - a police detective, an assistant D.A., a journalist, and a medical examiner - combine their efforts, risking everything, to catch a serial killer. "As with Patterson's best novels," Booklist says, "the surprises keep coming until the final pages."

I love how the narrators intertwined with each other. And the twist of the father and son was great!

Story
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

I really enjoyed how she stayed committed to telling all the truths no matter how bad it was. Though it was funny ALOT of times, it also taught serious lessons in the midst. I absolutely adore her! I pray she is blessed with all her heart's desires as long as it is in alignment with still being and respecting herself, as she has been doing. I'm so proud of and super happy for her and I don't even know her! TIFFANY YOU ROCK! Thanks for sharing your story! #inspiring #sheready
