I thought this was going to be a Roman soldiers life. I was mistaken once I got about a quarter of the way in. it is such a beautiful story. Has biblical references and a little bit of romance in there. I just couldn't stop listening to this. I reccomend it

I've been kind of binging this series for a minute now. Im curious to see where this story ends since there's only one more book but so far, I'd say this one was the worst of the three. It focuses a little more on the teenage love with not quite as much action/intensity. I hope the fourth one is better. By the sound of the excerpt, it is. On to the final!!

I am one of those that think this book is unnecessarily long. Like some of the details or speeches definitely could have been shortened a LITTLE bit. I wonder if this is where Clancy or Martin got their inspiration. I get that Tolkien was just wanted to build upon the world and lore but damn..i had to push myself to finish this. Here's a idea of how unnecessary it is in length. Out of thisn19 hour book, it doesn't get to the part of Frodo being granted the ring-bearer by the Council until 16 hours in. I got this because I really enjoyed the film(although it hasnt aged very well). Ill keep this in my library because its considered a classic and I like other classics. Now, onto the Two Towers

I actually like the little backstory around Amanda since we didn't get much in the game besides shes Ripleys daughter who is searching for her. I like her narcissistic attitude at times, I feel it adds to her. I really enjoyed this book and im glad i used a credit for it. if you played the game and want to know a little more what Ripley thinks and how she got to where she is, get this.

Im not going to listen to the remaining of the series. It just didn't catch my attention which is a little disappointing; but at least it was free.

I've been somewhat interested in the Revolutionary War here recently so im glad that Audible provided this one for the month. I always like stories that show any one person can start a ripple in the water and go down as a hero! History is so cool

thats a big gripe I have about this book is the different pronunciations of Mana. One thing I did like about this was it felt like you were actually in a video game as the character. if you like D&D, Dragon Age, Skyrim then you're going to love this book.

It actually made me feel slightly uneasy through this whole thing. The ending is predictable but the details aren't ALL predictable. Its a nice way how it comes in full circle

I wish the narrartor would have done some different inflections between the back and forth of the main females. It was sometimes hard to distinguish the difference between the two and their perspective. if I missed what chapter it was, I wouldn't be able to figure out whose sight are we seeing through unless I caught a specific time in their life. That was the only way I could differintiate.

The book was kind of predictable but it still had some twists I didn't see. I do wish they would stop comparing books to Gone Girl because that raises my expectation bar pretty high(as its one of my favorites) and they always fall short. That's why I'm giving it a hard 3

the book is almost to the point of being self-aware. I dont like Baldwin too much but I like the voices he chooses for each of the character. This is a very humorous book. They bring Trump, Harambe and other real-life characters in in such a good way. I laughed more though this book than I had for awhile whilst reading a book. I would reccomend it highly. It's short, funny, and has real-life things in it that add the humor a little more
