About this listen

You’ve got everything she wants....

Newly married Natasha has the perfect house, a loving husband, and a beautiful little girl called Emily. She’d have it all if it wasn’t for Jen, her husband’s ex-wife who just won’t leave them alone....

Then Natasha returns home one day to find her husband and Emily gone without trace. Desperate to get her daughter back, Natasha will do anything even if it means accepting an offer of help from Jen. But can she trust her? And do either of them really know the man they married?

If you loved The Girl on the Train, Gone Girl or The Couple Next Door, then this dark, twisting psychological thriller from Amazon best-seller Jess Ryder is guaranteed to grip you.

"This is, without a doubt, one of the best psychological thrillers I have read this year.... OMG this book is so darn good!.... I kept telling myself, 'Just one more chapter', then before I knew it, I had devoured it in one day! If you are looking for a fast-paced engaging read, this is the book for you! I highly recommend giving it a whopping 5 stars." (Sistas with Books Book Club, 5 stars)

incredible

I struggled momentarily with the past/present switchbacks. Once I was able to adjust I was sitting at the edge of my seat. Loved this book!

whew that was some kind of ride

I have never wanted a book to end so bad in all my audible life. Not bc it was bad but bc I wanted to know what was happening!!! There were parts that had my stomach in knots as though it was happening to me.
Loved the book and the ride it offered!

3.5 to 4 star thriller

If you were a fan of Gone Girl, you will be a fan of this book. However, this one moves slower so there are times you have to hang in there, it is going somewhere. Be patient. And just when you think you've figured it out, there will be a "no way!" or " get out! " moment. Right down to the end! You will leave wanting to know more and yet, at the same time, you will be satisfied. Enjoyable, engaging listening.

Surprisingly good!

I was very skeptical going into this one, partly because of the cheesy Hallmark-ish cover of the two wedding rings and partly because I've never heard of this author in spite of all of the 5-star reviews. I went in with no (low?) expectations and that's probably part of why I enjoyed this so much. The plot is unpredictable, the characters are very fleshed out, and the story was well told and well-paced.

A very good listen!

I liked the book not being complicated. It had a good flow from “ then and now”. It wasn’t confusing. I dislike the 2nd wife being so nieve, although many women are like that. I also liked the baby acting like a real child. Natasha’s mother was real also.
Worth the credit and more!!

Devastatingly good!

This book kept twisting from past to present and never revealing the complete plot until the end. Wonderful! The narrator did a great job of capturing the characters. Hard to put down.

Difficult to Follow

The story was interesting until it wasn’t. I was confused by the narrator whose voice didn’t change from one character to the next. When it was Nicks turn, I thought we were still listening to Natasha. It got too long and I lost patience.
