Story
I don’t want you. You mean nothing to me. I never loved you. I turned my words into swords. And I cut her down. Shoved the blade in and watched her fall. I said I’d never hurt her and I did. Years later I’m faced with all the little lies, the untruths, the false realities, the damage I inflicted when all I wanted was to indulge in my obsession. Lavender Waters is the princess in the tower. Even her name is the thing fairy tales are made of. I used to be the one who saved her. Over and over again.

Kodiak + Lavender are everything
Reviewed: 12-19-24
I love this story.
The things that Kodiak and Lavender go through, which we get to see in the flashbacks of dual timelines are perfect insights into how far they’ve come. The passion, the heartbreak, the anxieties that they both face are written so well.
I love hearing this story. The narrators did just a great job bringing out the animosity and aggravation but also the love and pain both Kodiak and Lav experience.
Their voices lend the emotions perfectly. This story is so good, but adding that emotion brings it to a whole new level.
I’ve read this book probably over 5 times — this is my first listen and i could literally just keep listening. I love it so much. These narrators did a fantastic job.

Story
I met West Haven when I was eight years old. He taught me to play poker when I was nine, and we made paper airplanes together when I was eleven. He kissed me when I was sixteen. He was the best part about my family’s summer vacations to Montana. He was the boy who stole my heart. I was twenty-three when life ripped us apart. Years later, I’m breaking my vow and returning to the ranch, not as a guest but its new owner. West might want me gone, but even he has to admit the only way to save his family’s legacy is with my help.

I loved this story. The dual timeline was written so well and i loved getting glimpses of their past.
The narrators were perfectly chosen for this book. I loved listening to their portrayal of the emotions West and Indya were feeling during their time together and apart.
I loved their history and how it played such a vital role in their presence.
This book was just amazing — character wise, narrator wise, story wise, and their chemistry was amazing.

I enjoy an accidental pregnancy book and this one delivers with a hefty dash of second chances.
Trix and Ren definitely had their ups and downs trying to figure out their future and what it would look like with their busy schedules and their past breakup emotions. Ren made up for the fact that he handled their college breakup so poorly and i loved seeing them work thru their past baggage. The emotional and sweet plus steamy ride this book took us on was great.
The narrators did such a good job bringing that tension and emotional punch that Stacy wrote to life. I thought both voices fit the characters well!
Thank you valentine for the early listening opportunity.

Story
Jaxon Riley is exceptional at three things: starting fights on the ice, picking up women post-game, and going home to fulfill his role as the world's best cat dad. Relationships, unfortunately, missed the list. Lennon Hayes is supposed to be on her honeymoon. Instead, she's alone and single, vacationing next door to a surly tattooed man who ran his date off the resort. When a run-in at the bar results in a night of bickering and cocktails, she finds herself tumbling into bed with the enemy next door, then sneaking out before the sun comes up.

This book, the emotions i felt were heavy. I laughed, i cried, and at one point i wanted to throw my phone — i definitely jammed that pause button hard.
The story was amazing and heartfelt. Jaxon and Lennon’s story was seriously just amazing, like words can barely describe how I’m feeling after reading.
The voices of Lennon and Jaxon were really done so well. You could really feel what they were feeling when you listened.
Becka definitely put her heart into this book and I’m so happy that the narrators did such a great job putting the emotional connection into this book.
I 100% recommend listening to feel a closer connection to these wonderful characters!

Isiah is EVERYTHING and officially my favorite. This book was so so so good. Isiah is the definition of if he wanted to he would.
I listened to the audio (on a roadtrip with my husband — who had already read the book) and it was perfection. Both of their voices were perfect for these two characters, they really brought them to life.
I loved the emotions that went into this book. The friendships. The family aspect. It’s all done so well. And the narration helped achieve that emotion out!
I just loved Kennedy and Isiah so much. 10/10 Recommend.

This cast + this story = amazing
Reviewed: 07-22-24
The cliff hanger that Tessa left us with at the end of midnight of ashes was a doozy but she immediately picked up and kept us on the edge of our seat in Dawn of Flames.
The story unfolded with heartbreak, love, support, and some lingering hesitancy. The guys had to show Hayden how much they truly loved her and their pasts all made it harder in varying degrees.
The conclusion of this story was everything i needed and then some. The bonds, the spice, the action, and Hayden really coming into herself and learning more about her family and the dragon world. She had so many obstacles to face, but with the guys by her side she was able to overcome everything.
The cast that narrates this book is phenomenal. The emotions that bleed into the story give it that much more of an edge. The anger, love, and sorrow you feel when they are telling the story keeps you wanting to hear their voices even after the story was over. They meld together to create the perfect cast for this big family of dragons. I was obsessed and wanted to keep listening over and over.
I loved how this series concluded and i can’t wait to see what else Tessa has in store for future series and stories. She is amazing and i love her writing so much!

The story was funny and i loved the journey of love through friendship and their unaliving game. They both had such fun personalities that when they were together, their chemistry was definitely off the charts.
I loved the duet narration, it keeps me in the story and i think their voices were perfect for this book.

Tropes i enjoy:
🔥: Age gap
💋: arranged marriage
🔥: fiesty heroine
💋: protective alpha hero
Y’all, the Irish accent, the duet narration, the story it’s all to die for!
The duet narration is ✨yespleaseandthankyou✨ but with the accent, it’s simply 【AMAZING】
I love an arranged marriage story and this one is great because she is fiesty and he is protective AF. He doesn’t want to succumb to loving his bride to be, but she definitely gets under his skin and he just can’t help feel the pull towards her! The fall was hard and sweet.
The give and take between these two was so real and the spice was spicing! He was a savage and she was eager to go toe to toe with him.
The story was delivered wonderfully by Tyler Griffin and Lexi Evans. They really knocked it out of the park. I enjoyed listening to them. 🎧

Story
I'm NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance "Romance". I'm notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I'm a player on and off the ice. I'm the one women with no inhibitions want. Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don't know how to be any other way. I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does.

This story was really good. I enjoyed seeing a different side to Lance and his accent was to die for. Such great voice acting by Jacob Morgan. The narrators did such an amazing job bring these two to life. And it was a fun story to live in. Specially with all the previous characters making appearances.
Lance was both misunderstood and also a dummy. I was so happy that he ran into Poppy and it basically made him open his eyes to his toxic relationship that was Tash. She was HORRIBLE and i couldn’t stand her manipulation.
Poppy though, she’s amazing. I love how she really doesn’t love
Lance at first. I love how they work together and that Lance actually makes time to be a good guy.
I loved that Lance finally fell off his playboy horse! Thank goodness.

When I joined Seattle's NHL expansion team, I thought it was the start of something great. But nothing ever goes the way you expect. Take my introduction to my new neighbor. She came rolling in on the hot mess express at midnight, making a racket while she tried to get into my team captain's apartment. Did I mention that he's married to a woman who definitely was not her?

One of my favorite things is the newspaper wars. Who can shock who the most and i cracked up every single time.
I loved the progression of this book, how they went from mutually beneficial reasons to help one another, to friends, to more. The story line was great and i wanted to smack Rook upside the head a couple of times but other than that, i seriously loved the story!
It was definitely full of love, laughter, and funny banter.
The grump and the hot mess. ❤️
