Story
A heart-wrenching, poignant and totally unforgettable tale of a young woman who must finally face up to the secret she has hidden for a lifetime. 1943, England: On a foggy night during the blackout, 25-year-old May Robinson watches in horror as her mother, Ivy, is tragically killed. Heartbroken, May is not sure she has the strength to harbour the secret she has kept for so many years - a secret that her mother devoted her life to hiding and that would tear their broken family even further apart.

Fabulously written, kept me entertained and drawn into each character. A few unexpected twists threw me, just like in real life. I held back tears during a massage but sure they would have flowed had I been on my own. I felt sad when the book had ended so next stop is to look up other books by Kerry Fisher. I loved the narrator also. It is so hard to find a Narrator that you actually like but I could listen very happily to Emma Spurgin Hussey.

WOW!!! Loved this book! The different scenarios were all so interesting and exciting. Each time I thought I had things worked out, I was proven wrong. The book was very unpredictable with so many twists and turns that it kept you guessing the whole way through. Thoroughly enjoyed the unique storyline. First review I have ever written and I've read hundreds of books!
