Story
When she arrived in New York on her eighteenth birthday carrying nothing but $600 cash and a stolen camera, Alice Lee was looking for a fresh start. Now, just one month later, she is the city’s latest Jane Doe. She may be dead but that doesn’t mean her story is over. Meanwhile, Ruby Jones is also trying to reinvent herself. After travelling halfway around the world, she’s lonelier than ever in the Big Apple. Until she stumbles upon a woman’s body by the Hudson River, and suddenly finds herself unbreakably tied to the unknown dead woman.

Captured my interest on the first chapter and never lost it.

I LOVED this audio book! I was captivated immediately. The story kept me guessing until the end. The characters were engaging and I quickly found myself invested in their stories . The narration was phenomenal and I love a story written from multiple points of view. Best book I’ve listened to this year. Trigger warning for SA, but being sensitive to SA myself, the details were limited to only what was needed.

Growing up poor in rural Georgia, Bree Cabbat’s single mother warned her that the world was a dark and scary place. Bree rejected her mother’s fearful outlook, and life has proved her right. Thought provoking storyline with complete ending. The characters were well written and made it easy to sympathize and relate too. The author did a fantastic job. The narrator was also very easy to listen to. Her voice was natural and engaging . Will most definitely be looking for more books by this author and with the narrator.
