About this listen

A riveting novel of historical suspense, from the bestselling author of Ask for Andrea, and based on the harrowing true story of the Mountain Meadows Massacre.

Three women, connected by one of the most brutal mass slayings in US history.

Lucy is sick of turning the other cheek. Ten years ago, an anti-Mormon mob drove her family and friends from their homes in Illinois. But now, the tables have turned. Rumor has it, some of those same men are traveling through Utah on their way to California. And this time, Lucy won’t run.

Katrina knew the trek west would be difficult. But she had no idea she’d be walking straight into hell. The young mother of four is prepared to do whatever it takes to protect her family from the violence closing in, but the battle to survive will be more harrowing than anything she can imagine.

Sally has just been “gifted” to a man she barely knows—as his fourth wife. Trapped and lonely, she tries to make the best of her new life. But when her husband insists on joining a group of religious zealots’ plans for revenge, she’s forced to reconsider her loyalties. Even if it means putting her own life on the line.

Based on true events, None Left to Tell is the story of the Mountain Meadows Massacre.

A Heartbreaker

As a history teacher, I love the history behind this novel. So well done, and even has relational ties to the author herself. With that said, as most stories in American history, this is not an easy read. I don’t cry during books often, but this one made me an absolute puddle. The stories of what these families went through on the brink of promising new lives and great futures ahead will absolutely break your heart. With that I say to proceed into this listen with caution, but you will find an incredibly told story with vivid details to the degree that the author might as well have been there herself. Well done.

Deeply saddened by the characters journey

The book was written with great respect to the events spoken of. It’s a shame these events are not taught more, we all truly need to live with more love and compassion for each other

Beautiful and Heartbreaking

I didn't know what I was getting into when my mom suggested we read this book together. I cried, I was filled with anger and injustice, and I'm left so thoughtful about this incident. I think of humanity, family, love, hate, and trauma. The author did a wonderful job handling this horrific massacre. I desperately want to visit the Meadow Massacre Memorial. I want to see where this took place, to remember those people, and to remember what we're capable of as humans. How we're capable of both hurting each other but we can also love each other and create such powerful homes and communities for each other. I can't recommend this book enough and will be sharing it with those I know.

Breathtaking in the Most Devastating Way

The narrator was amazing. The story itself is very good - heartbreaking and left me thinking about it long after I finished.

authentic and true to the people

This is one of the best tellings of the Mountain Meadows Massacre that I have read, the author stayed true to ask parties involved. Vengeance, fear and hate destroy everything they touch.

Touches the heart and kicks the gut!

A well-written book that personalizes this horrendous event. The author doesn’t hide the truth.

Can’t get past the Mormons and secrets. This is nuts

Historically accurate, down to the preface and the end notes. Such a beautiful and heartbreaking portrayal of battle and prejudice. I love that it had strong female leads from three different perspectives. In the end, you will feel for each of these women. Ihli makes you sense every characters mood and gut; good or bad, and empathize with each. Beautiful, heart wrenching, and as real as it can get. Heyyy Reese Witherspoon! Here’s a wonderful movie we all need to see ✨
