Story
Gretch Wolgast is a bit of a dud. Just ask her. She’s a 21-year-old college dropout who has a loser job at the mall. Sure, she can lift a tennis ball with her telekinetic powers. But only three feet in the air. And she has to be sitting. Gretch is an OP, one of thousands born in Orlando, Florida, in the early 1980s who mysteriously developed the ability to move things with their minds. Unfortunately, she turned out to be the weakest of the bunch. Now, Gretch’s life is being turned upside down. She witnesses a murder and discovers a wide-ranging conspiracy.

The narrator was good, the story was good. I have lived in Orlando most of my life and at first the details were cool but it became so much! I felt like if you’re not familiar with Central Florida would you care about the details of locations. But overall enjoyable.

Story
Sydney Shaw, like every single woman in New York, has terrible luck with dating. She’s seen it all: men who lie in their dating profile, men who stick her with the dinner bill, and worst of all, men who can't shut up about their mothers. But finally, she hits the jackpot. Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet. Then the brutal murder of a young woman—the latest in a string of deaths across the coast—confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.

It was a good book, what the author went through was astonishing and sad. I was hoping for something that was never gotten to but still true stories can’t always deliver hopes.

Enjoyed the book and the mystery had me guessing. I read all Jewell’s books and so I think I’ll guess but even when I do, I don’t completely. There’s always a genius twist.

After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

I couldn’t tolerate the Siri like narration. I have lived all O’Neal’s books but I couldn’t stand listening to this one and gave up twenty minutes in. It was as if Alexa or Siri were reading. It didn’t sound human except for the male voices which were weird, silly, and gruff.

What a beautiful story

This is a story that took its time being told. It was a good book and I cried several times for the character’s pain and joy.
I was slightly (more than slightly) annoyed by Macauley’s voices for the children but that was my only negative for the performance.
