Story
Zale, the third alpha-born son of King Solomon, is concerned. His youngest brother, Caol, has been spending time with an unbonded omega. Being a responsible alpha, Zale feels it’s his duty to warn the omega Finn before he and Caol get into trouble. Especially since Finn had only been brought to the colony by their father in case his oldest brother’s fated mate couldn’t conceive.

Mindless but sometimes that is OK
Reviewed: 04-29-21
Each of these books is dumber than the next and I hate myself a little for listening to four of them. The author writes caricatures not characters. Yes I would probably buy another one. I guess there is something pleasant about their mindlessness and they are moderately steamy although every time I hear the word "slick" i want to throw up a little.

Dark, Complicated Romance
Reviewed: 04-10-21
Darkly complicated MM romance. Lots of ugly bits but the romance is so very complicated and interesting. The key MM relationship builds very slowly and there were points where I did not even know if I wanted them to be together. Motivations are often not clear. This is a really unique trilogy and I recommend it.

OK - It is a good plot

This is a decent listen if you can stomach a Boston - ish accent. I love Joel Leslie as a rule but this accent grates on my last nerve. The plot is interesting. After the first book in the series I skipped to this one because his older brothers attitude became too much of too much. The younger brother is basket case of self-doubt, still I found hiim more relatable than his older sibling.

Not really raunchy - more sweet. I enjoyed it. A light little MM romance fairy tale. I regret the author did not stretch things so to speak and explore their hook up possibilities a little more thoroughly. Ah well room for a sequel...

A bit of a thriller with a strong MM romance
Reviewed: 04-02-21
I will listen to this book again. It has depth. The characters are believable and the plot has a bit of surprise as things are not what they seem in the beginning. While I love a raunchy hot MM sex/romance that is not this book. This is a MM romance enveloped in an interesting story with strong writing. The narrator is exceptional.

I am a new fan of Lyn Gala. I like the restraint she shows with her character's sexuality. She seems to value relationship over pure carnality. This particular story is a lovely romance that develops between displaced military earthman and an alien octopus nerd type creature. Hard to imagine but I guess that sort of sideways thinking is a reason value this author. The story is sweet and I hope we can check in on their lives in some future book.

One day you're on the run, the next, you're king of your own territory. With lives on his shoulders, Titos must step up. With all the change, Titos struggles with being a ruler. Does he rule with compassion or without? He's been around humans too long, forgetting the edoli way. Showing weakness means no respect, but that is all Titos feels he is capable of. With so much pressure building and his own expectations weighing him down, Titos makes some dicey decisions - decisions that could get them all killed.

So overall it I still like the story but Titos does not make sense to me as a character. One instant he is ruthlessly killing or threatening to kill and the next he is an insecure little ball of indecision. Its not attractive. I would slap him if he didn't have all those keepers around.

Woof Woof!

Anybody else want to be a good dog? I loved the relationship our werewolf develops with each of the vampires. I found them all sexy. The story is OK but really just the canvas for Karter (why a K?) to have all sorts of wild sex and romance with the vampires. No complaints here! If there are other books on the way I am all in. Narration is always a very subjective thing. I really liked the narrator.
