Story
Colorado Congressman Evan Kendrick is trying to live out his term of office quietly—when a political mole reveals to the world Kendrick's deepest secret: that Kendrick was the anonymous man in Masqar, the man who courageously freed the hostage held in the American embassy by Arab terrorists; the unknown hero who performed an act of outrageous daring then silently disappeared. Now, suddenly, Kendrick is a living target pursued by the terrorists he outwitted.

Enjoyable overall!

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
The author lays it on pretty thick with the saccharine patriotism and the pretty much unbelievable main character. The end was just way too much and really took away a lot of the enjoyment.
What does Scott Brick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Fantastic narrator! Brings individuality to every character and makes it easier to follow as there are MANY important personalities at play in this story.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Nah
Any additional comments?
Again, the author just goes way overboard with the almost smarmy patriotism of some of the characters and so forfeits any credibility he had built up for them. Hope he doesn't try so hard next time to force us to like some of the people.

Story
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

What would have made The Girl on the Train better?
A different story. So boring!
Would you ever listen to anything by Paula Hawkins again?
Doubtful
Any additional comments?
The beginning is extremely boring, so I'm not going to force myself to listen any further.

Worst Bourne Book!
Reviewed: 08-25-16
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
NOPE! Jason Bourne was written as a complete jerk in this book. I've listen to several in this series and enjoyed them, but this one was pretty awful because of Jason. It was gratuitous and basically just nasty.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Might even have to take a break from books. Really hated this one.
Which scene was your favorite?
When the narrator said "The End."
Was The Bourne Ultimatum worth the listening time?
No.
Any additional comments?
Please listen to some of the others in the Bourne series. I'm not sure what happened here, but it's not indicative of the enjoyment of the others.
