The narration was outstanding! The story meandered at times. We got a great picture of Antarctica past and present.

Story
Lily Weiss is her mother’s worst nightmare: thirty-two and single - the horror! She’s also a talented writer but hides behind a boring job at a science foundation. To her friends, she’s reliable and selfless, which is how she winds up a bridesmaid in five weddings in six weeks. Anything for her three best friends and two (younger) siblings, right? Even if her own love life is...well, she’d rather not talk about it. To keep her sanity, Lily needs a safe place to vent. And so her anonymous blog, Bridesmania, is born.

I loved the story and the narration really brought it to life. It was great having some Boston accents for the characters. Our characters are well developed and resilient. I love how Elin writes in the voice of them. Nantucket even gets to weigh in.

Heartbreaking! The narration and singing made this audio book come to life! The story was full of heartbreaking times in Ella's life. I found some passages difficult to listento. I longed for some success and kept listening even when it got slow. I liked the epiogue where she so lovingly met with a woman of her own kind who was so proud of Ella.

Story
Born to interracial American parents in Sweden, Jason Diakité grew up between worlds - part Swedish, American, black, white, Cherokee, Slovak, and German, riding a delicate cultural and racial divide. It was a no-man’s-land that left him in constant search of self. Even after his hip-hop career took off, Jason fought to unify a complex system of family roots that branched across continents, ethnicities, classes, colors, and eras to find a sense of belonging.

The narration was excellent. It was wonderful to hear the story first hand from Jason. The constant foul language was unnecessary. I feel you were trying to be real about how everyone talks but it was a turn off. I am glad I finished it though.

Seahawks star running back Curt Warner and his wife, Ana, were prominent figures in Seattle in the early 1990s. When they dropped from the public eye after Curt’s retirement, everyone assumed it was for a simpler life. But the reality behind their seclusion was a secret they hid from even their closest friends: their twins, Austin and Christian, had been diagnosed with severe autism. What followed was a painful struggle to hold their family and their marriage together in a home filled with chaos, emotional exhaustion, and constant fear for the safety of their unpredictable but beloved boys.
