so many people sexually abused and never talk about it. why would they? it is embarrassing and shameful. Felicia allowed us to see that vulnerable side of her, the inner child that was killed the day she was abused. Abuse victims are not alone in their mental anguish and she genuinely puts her emotions out there for all to see. Sexual abuse is wrong, period. it is not the fault of the abused person yet they are filled with shame and guilt. Speaking up and speaking out brings healing. it also can bring light to how often abuse occurs. Those who abuse children should be held accountable for their actions. Very emotional read. Thank you Felicia for writing this. You are helping so many people you don't know to remove the stigma of speaking up about sexual abuse.
