Story
Tia and Mike Baye never imagined they'd become the type of overprotective parents who spy on their kids. But their 16-year-old son, Adam, has been unusually distant lately, and after the suicide of his classmate, Spencer Hill they can't help but worry. They install a sophisticated spy program on Adam's computer, and within days they are jolted by a message from an unknown correspondent addressed to their son: "Just stay quiet and all safe."
Meanwhile, Betsy Hill is struck by a photo that appears to have been taken on the night of her son's death...and he wasn't alone.

Not his best
Reviewed: 01-07-21
The story line is very hard to follow. I think the narrator, who is normally one that I enjoy listening to, could have done a much better job of separating characters and sub-parts of the plot.
The end result is that you spend all your time trying to follow who’s talking. Too bad because the author probably could have pulled it off if not for that.

Story
Once a luxurious Southern getaway on a rustic lake, then reduced to a dilapidated crash pad, the Summer House is now the grisly scene of a nighttime mass murder. Eyewitnesses point to four Army Rangers - known as the Night Ninjas - recently returned from Afghanistan. To ensure that justice is done, the Army sends Major Jeremiah Cook, a veteran and former NYPD cop, to investigate. But the major and his elite team arrive in sweltering Georgia with no idea their grim jobs will be made exponentially more challenging by local law enforcement....

This unusual story would make a great movie. All the necessary elements. Intrigue, loyalty, fear, determination, and fierce justice.
I highly recommend the read!

If you are a Dean Koontz fan, you will not be disappointed with this story. The narration is superb. And while somewhat predictable, the story is still enjoyable. I didn’t want it to end. More please!

Story
Savid DelaCrotia is the third born son of one of the Kingdom of Montshire’s oldest and most respected High families. Cast aside by his father at an early age, it’s up to him to make his own way and create his own honor. With just his horse, his weapons, the clothes on his back and in his pack, and the education that his family provided, he’ll have to go it alone. Luckily, he already has a pretty good idea of what he’s good at - fighting, and woodcraft - not to mention finding hidden and lost items.

Can’t wait for the finale
Reviewed: 09-29-20
This included some surprising twists and some predictable ones. It felt somewhat rushed at the end which happens with a lot of stories for some reason. The time gaps were a bit hard to digest. I think those time periods could have been explored better and yet I guess a writer only has so many words. The final book is due out next year according to reports. I look forward to it With expectation and regret. It’s hard to say good bye.

Story
A revolution brewing for generations has begun in fire. It will end in blood. The Free Navy - a violent group of Belters in black-market military ships - has crippled the Earth and begun a campaign of piracy and violence among the outer planets. The colony ships heading for the thousand new worlds on the far side of the alien ring gates are easy prey, and no single navy remains strong enough to protect them. James Holden and his crew know the strengths and weaknesses of this new force better than anyone.

Story
More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by skydiving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

The story line is really out there and fir the first several chapters I felt like I’d bern dropped into the middle of the book. But once I got past my confusion, man what a ride.
The narrator is very good but he reads everything with such intensity that it wears you out.
Not crazy about the ending however overall I’m glad for the read.

Story
The fourth book in the NYT best-selling Expanse series, Cibola Burn sees the crew of the Rocinante on a new frontier, as the rush to colonize the new planets threatens to outrun law and order and give way to war and chaos. Enter a new frontier. "An empty apartment, a missing family, that's creepy. But this is like finding a military base with no one on it. Fighters and tanks idling on the runway with no drivers. This is bad juju. Something wrong happened here. What you should do is tell everyone to leave".

A great sequel to a great story line
Reviewed: 05-06-20
I enjoy this series very much and am always disappointed when the story gets closer to the ending. The only negative is that the pace of the book is constant until the last hour and then it’s like tumbling off a mountain racing to the end. I would prefer that the author would take more time winding the story down. It would be more rewarding to those of us that hung in there for 20+ hours if listening

As a hurricane rushes towards the island, she shelters the handsome stranger, names him “Monty”, and tries to uncover the mystery of his missing memory. She soon finds herself falling in love with a man she barely knows, and who doesn’t even know himself. The Mountain and the Sea is a romantic tale about letting go of the past and embracing the present.
