Story
The dapper, mustache-twirling little Belgian with the egg-shaped head and curious mannerisms has solved some of the most puzzling crimes of the century - and, in his own humble opinion, is "probably the greatest detective in the world". In this complete collection of more than 50 stories, ranging from short tales to novellas, Poirot faces violent murders, poisonings, kidnappings, and thefts - all solved with his characteristic panache. Only Agatha Christie could have devised cases worthy of Hercule Poirot's skill and "little gray cells".

Kinda Just World-building Vomit
Reviewed: 02-06-25
The idea and world concept are great, but terribly executed as an actual story. The narrative jumps so abruptly from one perspective, one place, and one time to another that it is difficult to follow, and the concept of a continuity of events is so poorly contrived that the reader is left confused by the middle of the 'story' and nearly more so by the end. The voice performances were as good as possible given the source material and were the only reason I was able to finish this. DO NOT READ.

Great Science Fantasy Book

The magic system is fairly undefined, but basically includes all of the super hero powers you could think of. There is technology based on some of these powers and the super heroes are all evil. So the premise is fun. The story is captivating as you follow a sometimes quirky band of rebels. Some of the foreshadowing is a bit in your face, but Sanderson still manages to pull off some good twists and meaningful surprises.

This is absolutely the last book to read (as of today). You must know of Bridge 4 and all that has happened up to book 4 of that series to understand what is happening in this story. That said, if you're caught up on the main books, then this is a must read - you will enjoy it.
