Two Best-Selling Agatha Christie Novels in One Great Audiobook

The Secret Adversary

From the brilliant pen of Agatha Christie comes the first novel in her Tommy and Tuppence mystery series featuring the beloved sleuthing duo - now a movie on both Acorn TV and PBS.

Tommy and Tuppence are young, in love...and flat broke. Restless for excitement, they decide to embark on a daring business scheme: Young Adventurers Ltd. - "willing to do anything, go anywhere." But they get more than they bargained for when their first assignment for the sinister Mr. Whittington draws them into a diabolical conspiracy.

It isn’t long before they find themselves plunged into more danger than they ever could have imagined - a danger that could put an abrupt end to their business...and their lives.

And Then There Were None

A PBS Great American Read Top 100 Pick

One of the most famous and beloved mysteries from the queen of suspense, Agatha Christie! More than 100 million copies sold and now a Lifetime TV movie.

Ten people, each with something to hide and something to fear, are invited to a isolated mansion on Indian Island by a host, who, surprisingly, fails to appear. On the island, they are cut off from everything but each other and the inescapable shadows of their own past lives. One by one, the guests share the darkest secrets of their wicked pasts. And one by one, they die.... Which among them is the killer, and will any of them survive?

Christie Times Two

I found 'The Secret Adversary ' a bit dull, but, 'And Than There Were None' was Christie at her best.

Excellent audiobooks

The narrators were terrific and brought Christie’s characters to life. Listening to the books was even better than when I originally read them - the suspense kept building

Both are fantastic!

First time reading The Secret Adversary, and I loved it!

And Then There Were None is one of my absolute favourites. A terrifying, and brilliant thriller, I always come back to this one.

Another great add to my collection!

I’ve been reading Agatha Christie books since high school. I did a summer reading project on And Then There Were None in tenth grade and it was my first Agatha Christie book to read! I still have the hard copy but it’s great to listen to before bed! I love that it comes with two books for one credit!

Amazing

Both books were amazing in content and narration. I didn’t want them to come to an end.

Two great Christies, beautifully read

Two wonderful books for the price of one. The Secret Adversary introduces Tommy and Tuppence, back when they were two young friends struggling to earn money after the war. The plot's a bit nutty, but the book brims with suspense and spirited banter; sometimes I forget how witty Christie can be. It's a joy. Then in a complete change of pace, comes And Then There Were None. Dan Stevens does a fabulous job as narrator (except for one older character, who gets such a ponderous voice I wanted to listen at double speed). I’d caught some of the movie versions, but hadn’t read the book in ages. MAN, what a brilliant plot. Put them together and you get the great Agatha Christie in two moods – warm, and ruthlessly tough.

Excellent story and performance!

Hugh Fraser is always excellent. Dan Stevens blew me away with his ability to bring characters to life and differentiate them so uniquely. Dan Stevens was a most wonderful surprise! Well done!!!

Two classics

You really can't go wrong with Christie. The narrators are both wonderful especially Dan Stevens.

Neither book is "typical" Agatha Christie

I read it as two separate books for GoodReads, so I will post the two separate reviews POSTED in GoodReads:

(as posted in review for _The Secret Adversary_ A Tommy and Tuppence Mystery_ on GoodReads)
Despite the fact that I've been raining Agatha Christie books since junior high, I had never read a Tommy And Tuppence book before. The whole feel is totally different than any of her other books that I have read! The fact that it's not a carbon copy of her previous styles is good, and the twist near the end is refreshing and intriguing. I don't know why I didn't give it four stars, but there you go…

(As posted in review for _And Then There Were None_ on GoodReads)
I read this book years ago, and I really wanted to e-read it. I have read a lot about I think Chris throughout junior high and high school, and after a while they're all kind of same – but this one is definitely not. Re-reading it was really what I needed! I had remembered a lot, but several of the details kind of escaped me; but I remembered the main points and villains and guilty parties. And I still appreciate the thought and morals that went into it. It really is one of her better books!

A good pairing of Christie novels

The first Tommy and Tuppence novel and perhaps Christie’s best standalone together Dan Steven’s did a wonderful job with And ThennThere Were None.
