Story
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

The main character “Jason” is a bit annoying
Reviewed: 01-27-25
The main character is very good at manipulating people and not in a good way in my opinion. He also runs his mouth too much. I’m kind of surprised he hasn’t gotten himself killed because of it. For someone who has evil powers he draws way too much attention to himself. The fact that he hasn’t drawn the eyeballs of the churchy people is amazing. He also has an apocalypse beast as a familiar. And the thing that makes no sense to me is the fact that everybody around him seems to be OK with all of it.
Story progressions kind of slow. The whole first half of the book is nothing but a huge training ark which drives me nuts because nothing really happens. He kills some cultists by accident. Any fights a few monsters. That’s it.
The narrator is not very good at giving the characters their own voice. They all sound alike to me and it’s hard for me to follow who’s talking.

Raphael and the Hell Drakes have their sights upon the Wind Bastion and Vukaste the Ogre Lord. Their mission is to cleanse the remains of Shiomi the Defiant and allow her draconic soul to rest. But Vukaste is not the only enemy who seeks to do Raphael and his friends harm. Someone in the Chimeric Empire is working alongside the ogres, and their dark quest is one that could mean not only the end of Lucario, but the entire world.

You have a 2000 year-old mage essentially, stuck in the body of a three-year-old boy. A situation of his own creation might I add. Within less than a year of his memories from his previous life awakening he’s killing adults that have been practicing magic for years that can utilize more manner than he can. He starts bossing around his parents and essentially acts high in Mighty. I’m about 25% of the way through the book and I don’t know if I can continue. So far, it makes absolutely no sense. Even from a fantasy novel standpoint. Don’t waste your credits or your money on this series.

Titans have powers that even Zeus, Lord of the Olympians, is scared of. And apparently, I’m a Titan. When I finally meet my mom for the first time ever, she tells me that I’m descended from the almighty Oceanus, drags me under the sea, and dumps me at Olympus Academy to learn to use my powers. And boy, did she forget to tell me a few things!

Percy Jackson knock off
Reviewed: 05-25-22
So this book is basically a Percy Jackson and the Olympians knock off. It’s nowhere near as good as The books that Rick Riordan write. I gave it three stars overall because the story wasn’t terrible. It was easy to follow which it should be it’s designed for a little kids.

I've seen him on the news. Followed the stories about what happened in Ohio. John Smith, out there, on the run. To the world, he's a mystery. But to me . . . he's one of us.

It’s not bad

I like the 2 narrator thing it works really well. This one is a lot better then the first book. The action is good but my advice to anyone wanting to read the series don’t read the summaries of the other books it gives away to much info in my opinion. But it’s not a good series unless you have a trader that costs the life of one of the other numbers not saying any more you’ll have to read them to see what happens.

Nine of us came here. We look like you. We talk like you. We live among you. But we are not you. We can do things you dream of doing. We have powers you dream of having. We are stronger and faster than anything you have ever seen. We are the superheroes you worship in movies and comic books—but we are real.

It’s ok

I’m glad I didn’t spend money on this one it was not the best book I’ve read/listened to. The main character John/#4 is constantly making mistakes and is completely incapable of protecting himself. He only makes it through the final battle thanks to his dog, #6, and his “dad” he’ll even his human friends do more then him. I thought he was completely useless. There is also a groan factor with the love story I mean come on tone it down a bit this is a action adventure book not a romance.

The story was fantastic. It kept moving at a decent pace. I will say that it is geared towards a younger audience but some adults will enjoy it as well. If you like magic and adventure where the main character is the hero then you’ll love this book. As an American some of the British slang was hard to decipher but if you understand the context of how the slang term is being used you can figure it out.

Danny North knew from early childhood that his family was different - and that he was different from them. While his cousins were learning how to create the things that commoners called fairies, ghosts, golems, trolls, werewolves, and other such miracles that were the heritage of the North family, Danny worried that he would never show a talent, never form an "outself"....

It’s ok. Not terrible but I’m 14 chapters in and not a hint of action at all. Theirs two different stories one in mid-guard and one in a different world and so far they don’t mesh at all. Hopefully something changes soon.
Now to address the title of this post.
This book is not for kids it has parts that are vulgar and kids shouldn’t here it.
