Story
Violent confrontation between armed groups over the supply of illegal narcotics is something we commonly associate with criminal gangs in modern cities, but in the mid-19th century Great Britain went to war with Imperial China in order to continue to supply Chinese addicts with opium. The two wars that followed have become known as the Opium Wars, and they led to the utter defeat of China, the establishment of a British colony in Hong Kong, and the continuation of a narcotics trade that was worth millions of pounds each year to the British.

The major assertion of this book is how bad the West was. Except they leave out the initial facts of Britain needing to rebuild its economy, the tea industry, and the several attempts to renegotiate with the emperor.

What disappointed you about Star Trek: Web of the Romulans (Adapted)?
The story seemed rather engagin except for the romantic delusions of a ships computer. I was enthralled with the telling of Romulan War but was deflates. Still, the main caveat of this tale was that Takei CREEPED ME OUT with his ship voice. Ick. So no, would not recommend.
What was most disappointing about M.S. Murdock’s story?
Takeis creepy ship voice and it enough of Romulan violence.
Would you be willing to try another one of Leonard Nimoy and George Takei ’s performances?
I would LOOOVE some more Nimoy vocals.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Can uncomfortable be the emotion?

Story
More than any other writer before or since, Louis L'Amour brought the American West to life. His action-packed stories deal with eternal themes: honor, deceit, passion, betrayal, loyalty, courage, love. His settings are historically accurate, his prose riveting, and his characters colorful: good guys, bad buys, toughs, roughs, sidekicks and saints.

When I heard the great Willie Nelson was giving a reading I was afire. Then I heard him reading and it was a calming streaming of rambling words.
The stories, no offense to Mr. L'Mour, are essentially the same. I gather it would be more of a series that is enjoyed by hard copy, not audio.
All with the exception of the first dramatization with the excellent performances of Kris Kristofferson and badass Johnny Cash.

Story
Hank is a thug. He knows he's a thug. He has no problem with that realization. In his view the galaxy has given him a gift: a mutation that allows him to withstand great deals of physical trauma. He puts his abilities to the best use possible and that isn't by being a scientist. Besides, the space station Belvaille doesn't need scientists. It is not, generally, a thinking person's locale. It is the remotest habitation in the entire Colmarian Confederation. There is literally no reason to be there.

Dry and cheesy lines but it works sooo well
Reviewed: 02-26-18
"Suck it Suckface!" His cheesy one liners are what is so fun about the story. His success at being just who he is, has the you wanting more. I found it incredibly refreshing that the manly hero is our antagonist, giving a break on the nerdy and quirky that runs rampant in the films and tv.
The narrator at times has issues with leaving chapters. He finishes them off too abruptly however apart from that, he is great.

Reviewed: 02-09-18
The performamce was really good. Its been awhile since I heard the original Kahless. Though it almost deters the other voices of the Iconic characters though it makes up with narrative acting as well as score and sound.
BUT! I was expecting the tales of the actual Kahless from himself as it was in the physical novel. This version completely removes those parts which leaves it half-@$$ed.
What really happened when Kahless faced his brother?
Who was the woman he loved and carries an amulet as a keepsake?
Unless you read the physical novel, you will never know.
