Story
With President Anthony Cook convinced that Mitch Rapp poses a mortal threat to him, CIA Director Irene Kennedy is forced to construct a truce between the two men. The terms are simple: Rapp agrees to leave the country and stay in plain sight for as long as Cook controls the White House. In exchange, the administration agrees not to make any moves against him. This fragile détente holds until Cook’s power-hungry security adviser convinces him that Rapp has no intention of honoring their agreement. To put him on the defensive, they leak the identity of his partner, Claudia Gould.

Not what I expected- but somehow even better than I expected. Only thing better than a Mitch Rapp book is George Guidall narrating a Mitch Rapp book.

Before he was the Gray Man, Court Gentry was Sierra Six, the junior member of a CIA action team. In their first mission, they took out a terrorist leader, at a terrible price. Years have passed. The Gray Man is on a simple mission when he sees a ghost: the long-dead terrorist, but he's remarkably energetic for a dead man. A decade of time hasn't changed the Gray Man. He isn't one to leave a job unfinished or a blood debt unpaid.

I love everything Jason Kasper puts out and this book was no exception. My only issue with the book was the narration. I don't mean it as a knock against Cory M. Snow- as his voice and reading style were fine. The voice just doesn't match David Rivers or his team in my opinion.

Different- But Really Good

Story line was definitely not what I expected! I was a somewhat up and down as I listened to the book but stuck with it and glad I did. I got hooked once the story started coming together. It was very creative and well thought out. I absolutely HATE when Male narrators are made to speak as females and children. There is a lot of it in the story due to the main characters. Overall it was great and I'm looking g forward to Book 2.

Great book amd great narration. I enjoy most everything I've heard and read by Brett Battles. As always- Scott Brick did a great narrating the book. Had moments where his voice made me think I was listening to an Orphan X book- but that's not a bad thing.

Another amazing Gray Man novel. Truly have no idea how Mark Greaney does it- but he does. The charachters, story and plot somehow continue to get better with each book. He is in a league of his and it's a league few, if any others will ever reach. Can't wait to see what he has next and there's no doubt it will be well worth the wait!
