Story
Based on a true story, Queenie of Norwich is the compelling tale of one remarkable girl's journey to womanhood. Spanning the first half of the 20th century, Queenie's story is one of heartbreak and triumph, love and loss, and the power of family. It is a story of redemption, and how, with grit and determination, anything is possible.

The memoir is a detailed account of her difficult years and how she overcame the traumatic and the toughest darkest part of her life. I appreciated the honest recount of the ways men have discounted and underestimated her. I couldn’t stop reading this! Anna gets through some dark & troubling life stuff & is stronger because of it. Her writing style is powerful and as a woman I appreciated Anna’s perspectives a lot. Thank you for writing this book.

Story
“Can I kiss you?” It was two months before the world premiere of Juno, and Elliot Page was in his first ever queer bar. The hot summer air hung heavy around him as he looked at her. And then it happened. In front of everyone. A previously unfathomable experience. Here he was on the precipice of discovering himself as a queer person, as a trans person. Getting closer to his desires, his dreams, himself, without the repression he’d carried for so long. But for Elliot, two steps forward had always come with one step back.

What a beautifully honest story of the life and journey of Elliot Page. I was moved many times and deeply touched by the commitment Elliot put into writing his book. Thank you also for being the audible reader. I think many will enjoy listening to this if you watched any of Elliot’s movies and productions. I have a better understanding of all that my trans friends truly have to endure in this world just to “be” & show up. Much love to them and all who are discovering…

A remarkable writing debut, filled with indelible moments, The Buy Side shows as no book ever has the rewards—and dizzying temptations—of making a living on the Street. Growing up in the 1980’s Turney Duff was your average kid from Kennebunk, Maine, eager to expand his horizons. After trying – and failing – to land a job as a journalist, he secured a trainee position at Morgan Stanley and got his first feel for the pecking order that exists in the trading pits.

For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

3 days into Sept 2020 10lb take down challenge
Reviewed: 09-15-20
Dear Christy this (audible) book has changed my view of food for life. I used to reward / punish myself with food and that stops now. I got sober in 2004 and slowly turned to reaching (unknowingly) for more and more sugar over the years because the alcohol was absent. My mom passed suddenly in Aug of 2018 & I found comfort food - well very comforting. Covid allowed me to be home and graze the fridge more often. ALL of this has led me to 25lbs of weight that does not serve me. I'm short and really small bones so it feels terrible. I don't feel sexy or attractive. I downloaded this book and joined the support facebook site for the 10lb take down challenge late Aug and lost 10lbs even before the challenge began. Yahoo. I now understand what real food is. It does not have to be complicated. I can not express enough gratitude for the book and what you teach us about water sleep and consuming fuel in the form of nourishment. Thank you!!!
