Story
After Keelynn witnesses her sister's murder at the hands of the legendary Gancanagh, an immortal creature who seduces women and kills them with a cursed kiss, she realizes there’s nothing she wouldn't do to get her back. With the help of a vengeful witch, she’s given everything she needs to resurrect the person she loves most. Tadhg, a devilishly handsome half-fae who has no patience for high society—or propriety—would rather spend his time in the company of loose women and dark creatures than help a human kill one of his own. Until Keelynn makes him an offer he can’t refuse.

Story
FBI special agent Mercy Kilpatrick has been waiting her whole life for disaster to strike. A prepper since childhood, Mercy grew up living off the land — and off the grid — in rural Eagle’s Nest, Oregon. Until a shocking tragedy tore her family apart and forced her to leave home. Now a predator known as the cave man is targeting the survivalists in her hometown, murdering them in their homes, stealing huge numbers of weapons, and creating federal suspicion of a possible domestic terrorism event.

Story
After the death of my mother and her Bonded, I was relieved to find my own Bonds. I was sure everything would be okay if I had them. It wasn’t. The fate of our people is in my hands, and I know we’re better off if I’m alone. After five years on the run, I’m caught and dragged back to face the men I ran away from. I thought I was doing the right thing. Now, I’m not so sure.

The book was ok I did have a few hang ups all with the main character. I understand that’s she is 19 but the limited vocabulary and swearing brought me out of the story. Profanity doesn’t bother me but the over use and way she used it made the character seem childish. Her immediate response to frustration is “I’m going to punch someone and run away”…every time. I wish we could have seem a more in-depth view of her thoughts because this came off shallow.

Story
They say that all men are created equal. Well, that’s a blatant lie! I know, because I met God's gift to women in Vegas; I pretended he was my husband to get rid of another man. He took our fake marriage seriously, and it became his personal goal to consummate. He spoke to me in French, and I lied to him in German. His laughter was addictive. But I thought what happens in Vegas would stay in Vegas. Until it didn't.

Start out great…
Reviewed: 11-30-22
The story started out great. It’s feels like there is extra drama added to the story with no value to the plot just there to make the story longer. For two characters who are reasonably intelligent given that they are doctors they do a lot of stupid stuff. Feels like middle school drama not the behavior of 30 year old doctors. Spice was good. My issues with MMC didn’t happen until halfway through the book.

I like the concept of the book. And towards the end I got into it. The writing in the start of the book is a bit elementary and I found it hard to connect with. I think the narrators performance highlighted some of the stories shortcomings. I’ve heard the books get better in the series but I may switch to reading them instead.

“Liar, liar, pants on fire.” The words scrawled on the back of my newest stalker mail makes my blood run cold. I have no idea if it’s the lie I know or one that I don’t. Since arriving back into Shadow Grove, I’ve been stalked, tormented, chased, and almost killed. I’ve been lied to, repeatedly, by people I was growing to trust.

The first two books in this series are like asking someone the scratch an itch and they get close but miss it every time. The story had potential. But the main female character has zero personality and is only good for one thing. She has the vocabulary of a 4th grader and immediately gives up on standing up for herself because the guys are sooooo hot, gag! This series is not worth the hype.
I did however enjoy the narrators. This is my first time hearing them and I’m looking forward to finding more of their work.

Story
Three things Lynsey Jones knows about the hot doctor: he's grouchy, an arrogant jerk, and strangely obsessed with pie. Three things Dr. Josh Richardson knows: He doesn't talk about his past, he doesn't do relationships, and the crazy girl in the hospital cafeteria who ate a fistful of French silk pie...is annoyingly irresistible. After a chance meetup at a bar and a heated cab ride together, things come to a head. Three months later, the weird cafeteria stalker who crept out of Josh's house like a thief in the night winds up as his patient in the ER after her Tinder date from hell.

I only meant to steal a car. I didn't know I was stealing a girl, too. Until the most gorgeous face I'd ever seen popped up in the rear-view mirror. I fell hard, fast, and forever.... But she tore out my heart - left me alone and bleeding. How can I forget her, when I have to see that damned perfect face on billboards and magazines? It's torture. Nine long years. I thought I moved on. Then I saw her in the flesh....

Story
Everyone has something in their past that they'd like to forget, but for Kylie Davis there's no escaping her past. It followed her everywhere, determined to destroy her, and to make sure that she paid for the one thing that her family could never forgive her for. Being born. The last thing that Hunter O'Mallery needed was an assistant, but thanks to the deal that he never should have made, he has one. As long as she stayed out of way, he'd been more than happy to leave her alone, but now that she's caught his attention, he couldn’t stop thinking about her.

I liked the male narrator. Female narrator lost me in parts. The overall storyline I enjoyed but the dialogue was completely unbelievable and overly dramatic. The forced proximity makes no sense. The FMCs family is supposed to be the bad guys but they are as dangerous as a mad tea cup poodle….
