Story
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge.

Ive been so involved with this book… my miss’ bought me the movie halfway thru reading… and it was STILL on the edge of my seat. With Sharp Objects, i watched the show after reading and was happy bc the teeth thing in the show wasnt explained. Imagine my delight when the author herself popped up in the book here to give us a neverbeforeseen explanation of how nick met amy, and an IMPORTANT peek into Amy’s childhood and what made her her lovable diabolical neurotic self lol. I hate how much she used and gets away with ruining lives… but isnt this the world we have lived in from 2012 to the present?
Perfect book for when im driving Uber

Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Story
A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name is hidden from all he and Dunk encounter. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits. Featuring more than 160 all-new illustrations by Gary Gianni, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a must-have collection that proves chivalry isn’t dead—yet.

I love this book, it is quick and very helpful.
Every time brackets occur, the reader says the word "brackets" in the same monotonous tone. I had to stop many times just like 50 shades of grey. Remember the email exchanges where the reader thought it was necessary to read dates, times, subjects, re subjects, re re re re subjects? Yes...
Everything else was great and verifies a lot of my personal gnostic study.

Story
In Dad is Fat, stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan, who’s best known for his legendary riffs on Hot Pockets, bacon, manatees, and McDonald's, expresses all the joys and horrors of life with five young children - everything from cousins ("celebrities for little kids") to toddlers’ communication skills ("they always sound like they have traveled by horseback for hours to deliver important news"), to the eating habits of four-year-olds ("there is no difference between a four-year-old eating a taco and throwing a taco on the floor").

Story
God Is Disappointed in You is for people who would like to read the Bible...if it would just cut to the chase. Stripped of its arcane language and interminable passages, every book of the Bible is condensed down to its core message, in no more than a few pages each. Written by Mark Russell with cartoons by New Yorker cartoonist Shannon Wheeler, God Is Disappointed in You is a frequently hilarious, often shocking, but always accurate retelling of the Bible, including the parts selectively left out by Sunday School teachers.

Story
Beloved author Henry Blackaby and his son Richard help those who are listening to discern the voice of God, to identify ways He speaks, and to respond to revelations of His will. God speaks to individuals in ways that are personal and unique to each person. God will never say anything that contravenes what He has said in the Bible. After you learn to listen to God, hearing from God will be as natural as communicating with a close friend.

This one showed absolutely how to humble oneself and teach the gospel by his or her actions... But not to be too judgmental of folks..

Story
Telling his story in "three chapters," Ram Dass explains how he moved from the structured academic world to wide-open experiences with psychedelics (and the Harvard experiments with Timothy Leary). Then in India, he met his guru, Neem Karoli Baba (Maharaji), who taught him to "just be here now." Ram Dass shares with us how we can all attain a state of well-being. The result is that we'll become more centered, and we'll learn to see the God in each other, which ultimately leads to an overwhelming sense of oneness with, and love for, our fellow humans.
