The story was good. What stood out was the reader was very robotic. And apparently the reason is it was ai.

I dislike the reader. I might have liked the story better if it was read by a human showing the emotions

Why we think it’s a great listen: There’s no gentle way to put this – Frank McCourt’s performance of Angela’s Ashes is just better than the Pulitzer Prize-winning book. Frank McCourt shares his sometimes heartwarming, sometimes heartbreaking story of growing up poor, Irish, and Catholic in the Pulitzer Prize-winning memoir Angela's Ashes.

The Difficulties faced by this boy/young man.

I enjoyed the story. The humor throughout the hardships and the way he did not dwell on the negative in his Situation.
It was so interesting to hear how adults were perceived and how people seemed to think at that time.

One thing bothered me. I would think the cops would have gone out to check on the abandoned school themselves rather than sending the security guy. But that could be from reading too many Bosch novels.

The reader is perfect. The storyline keeps me engaged. Characters are engaging and interesting.
I read the ones included with audible about a year ago and came across them again. I look forward to using a credit to listen to the next episode once I finish rereading these.
