Good story, still has holes

Overall, a good story—engaging enough that I finished it in under a week.

That said, it still left some gaps. I found myself wondering what happened to certain characters, with a few unresolved threads that could have used more closure.

The decision to take the overarching conflict in a wildly different direction from where the earlier books seemed to be heading left me feeling amiss. This isn’t how I would have written the story, and it took some of the momentum out of the overall series for me.

The interludes toward the end were also a bit distracting. They weren’t bad, but I would have preferred the focus remain elsewhere.

That said, I’m still intrigued by Planet X and how it might connect to the Mortis gods—hopefully that thread develops in a meaningful way moving forward.

As always, Marc Thompson delivers an excellent narration. His performance remains a high point in the audiobook experience.

Such a fragmented story

Although I finished this audiobook, the fragmented narrative significantly detracted from the experience. The abrupt leaps in the story made it consistently difficult to follow, even to the end.

Overall, it isn't bad. I would put it in the middle of the stack of this series.

the action in the last 15 to 20 percent of the book was great. everything before that was really slow.

Also, the music, sound effects, and the like were missing.

This is an easy listen. I enjoyed learning from Will and how he was able to make his restaurant a success.

I am sad that he and Daniel are not working together anymore.

Not a bad book—just a slow read for me. If you're looking for something to read (aka listen) just because, this might not be the one for you.

But if you're interested in the backstory and want something that lays a strong foundation, this is your book.

I enjoyed listening to the lectures. She lectures well and has a good knowledge of the time period.

When it came to Catholic Church, her understanding of its history and knowledge seemed very piecemealed. A better understanding and explaining different perspectives of Church history, theology, and the like would improve these lectures.

this was a decent Star Wars kid novel.

The narrator was good, consistent as before and voices were good.

I was happy to have the music and sound affects back. The 'Tears of the Nameless' didn't have any/much.

I am used to hearing music and the audiobooks for Star Wars novels. there was not any here.

The narrator did her best to keep it interesting but isn't up to par in comparison to other narrators of Star Wars books.

The book added to canon which I enjoyed, however, I thought the story was too long.

Leox Gyasi and Affie Hollow did not seem like themselves and the novel. also, I wish they were included more into the story.

This listen sound like I am listening to an episode of Star Wars: Clone Wars (the TV show). This is not bad; if you like the Clone Wars, then you will like this. If not, it will be a slow read.

Mark Thompson is awesome as always. sound effects are great.

Decent follow-up on Outbound Flight. I wish they had allowed for more follow up on some of the other characters from the novel.
