Story
Ashley Perrin is fresh out of college and starting a job as a community liaison for the Third District–the city’s only sector with more alien residents than humans. Ashley’s barely found where the paper clips are kept when she’s beset with constituent complaints–from too much noise at the Annual Lupidian Celebration Parade to a trip-and-fall chicken to a very particular type of alien hornet that threatens the very city itself. And if that’s not terrifying enough, Ashley is next up at the office karaoke night.

I enjoyed the 2nd half more than first half
Reviewed: 07-10-23
Like the title says-the 2nd half was more enjoyable to me-told from male POV. It was really long….lots of unnecessary added information. Many will laugh during parts of the book-it is meant to be humorous at times (I did not laugh-bad character trait I guess). I am curious about what happens next and will likely listen to the next in the series when it comes out.

I received a free copy of this audiobook and I have to say that it was very interesting and a different take on how the world ends. I have listened to several books by this author and I like them all. I am a sucker for an end of the world book so I can be prepared when the shit goes down-when that happens I will have the author to thank along with many others. I know I am not the best reviewer but I did enjoy this book and look forward to listening to more by the author. The narration was great as usual.

I received a free copy of this audiobook and I have to say I LOVED IT. I am a sucker for post apocalyptic books-I cannot get enough of them. This one was different from the others I have read which I thoroughly enjoyed. I asked the author if there was another in the series because I am eager to find out what happens next but it has not been released yet. I will definitely be on the lookout for the next one in this series. The narration was great as well-I felt like I was there with the characters.

I love a good zombie book
Reviewed: 03-16-22
Okay okay-where do I start??? I love zombie books so I was excited to get a free audio version of this book. I have listened to a lot of zombie books over the years-saving All Dead so I have something to look forward to. So this book has a good premise-a slightly different look on the subject. The characters are likable and easy to relate to. Mainly good folks out to help others which is nice. However it moved very slow-tons of details about every move that could have been summed up in a sentence-I mean I understand wanting to be in the moments with the characters but it’s a bit much-don’t really need a step by step explanation of how a character gathered supplies or climbed or fell out of a ceiling. Another thing is all the name using such as ‘Steve heard the truck in the distance” then Steven lifted his eyes’ then ‘’Steve sighed’—we get it - it was Steve the whole time.-how about Steve heard the truck in the distance, lifted his eyes and sighed? This happened over and over and add in the emphasis the narrator put on the names-seems like if I had seen it in type the names would’ve been in bold. That was my main issue with the narration-other than that it was great-narrator did well distinguishing between characters and ‘voices’.
With all that said, I did enjoy the book and I want to know what happens. I just hope the next one moves a bit faster. An entire book-2 mins shy of 11 hours of my life and maybe a week passed-maybe it was all the meticulous details!!!

I loved this series from the start however this book was filled with some turmoil that I did not like. I like the couple and the family to be solid but they were on shaky ground which did not sit well with me. Basically, this series is a cozy one with great, likeable characters along with bits of knowledge sprinkled in. I am looking forward to the next one in the series. Anyone have a free code?

Pretty Good

This book was okay....I felt like there was too much detail for me though which made it drag out. Perhaps an abridged version would have been better. By detail I mean stuff like 'do you want coffee-yes I would love coffee-got a cup-filled the cup-sat the pot down, etc' if you get my meaning. I liked the premise of another life that was forgotten and built and then the former regained. I did not like the wife so much who would put the man off because he was not 'her husband'-seemed a bit cold. As far as it being a Christmas Story was a bit off too-Christmas was only a brief part.
