Story
Sheryl wasn't a bad wife. Well, not really. Her sex life at home had been in decline for years, and it wasn't her fault that she needed something more than the rote routine she and her husband Jared had fallen into. Whether it was a desperate plea or a firm decision that she was determined to push forward with, she confesses to her husband her desires in the most graphic of details. Pushing for more, she has no idea how Jared will react. Will he be angry, bitter, resentful or even hurt? The only thing she knows is that she yearns for something more.

This book should be read by all men!
Reviewed: 01-01-20
I found the information very insightful and would have to agree that it all is true. A man, has to be a man, if he is going to gain any respect from a woman, this book shows the different aspects of how he can and fails to do this. It should be read no matter how good your relationship is, there is still something to learn.

Many of us know the Black Death as a catastrophic event of the medieval world. But the Black Death was arguably the most significant event in Western history, profoundly affecting every aspect of human life, from the economic and social to the political, religious, and cultural. In its wake the plague left a world that was utterly changed, forever altering the traditional structure of European societies and forcing a rethinking of every single system of Western civilization: food production and trade, the church, political institutions, law, art, and more.

Wow ... everyone needs to read this book. So much we are never told in school. And this really opened my eyes to how ineffective the church was and has always been even up to today. The narrator was excellent...very easy to listen to.

Concerned!!
Reviewed: 07-09-17
This is a book well worth reading. It covers several digs and their finds along with their histories. Also the techniques that archaeologist use to work a site. What concerned me was throughout this book the author made several references to people in the field, that at their time, went against the collective consensus of the day and raise a stink in world of archaeology only later to be proved right. But knowing this he dismisses all the work of Graham Hancock (he does not call him out in this book or name Hancock's book Magicians of the gods, but if you have read the book, and you must, you will know it is him that he is talking about) just because it does not line up with the accepted (always challenged and revised) thought process of finds. He admits that they don't have all the answers but if someone suggest something outside the box, no matter how plausible, that they are completely wrong. Very narrow minded if you ask me. But by all means read both books, there is a lot of knowledge in both....enjoy.

This is the book that pastors, educators, and anyone interested in the Bible have been waiting for, a clear and compelling account of the central challenges we face when attempting to reconstruct the life and message of Jesus.

Great narration and very eye opening. Really liked the way the author didn't belittle Christianity in his closing but supported it, even though for him, it has lost its savor. This book is well worth reading. It brought the bible to life, made it very understandable and took out all the mystical elements and put them a perspective that is more real than trying to believe them as actually happening.

Story
This explosive work of history unearths clues that finally demonstrate the truth about one of the world's great religions: that it was born out of the conflict between the Romans and messianic Jews who fought a bitter war with each other during the first century. The Romans employed a tactic they routinely used to conquer and absorb other nations: they grafted their imperial rule onto the religion of the conquered.
