Odysseus’s journey from the battlefields of Troy to his home in Ithaca is one of the greatest stories ever told. From the lotus-eaters to the sirens, from Circe to the Cyclops, this is a tale of thrilling adventures, cunning escapes, and enduring devotion. Stephen Fry breathes new life into the ancient poem with humor and pathos.

This latest installment of Fry’s Greek mythology series is a great addition to my library. We all know the story of the odyssey, but the magic in this audio version is Stephen Fry’s performance. It’s captivating and brings the story to life. I recommend it enthusiastically

In the final book of his astonishing career, Carl Sagan brilliantly examines the burning questions of our lives, our world, and the universe around us. These luminous, entertaining essays travel both the vastness of the cosmos and the intimacy of the human mind, posing such fascinating questions as how did the universe originate and how will it end, and how can we meld science and compassion to meet the challenges of the coming century?

I liked this book better the first time I read it years ago. Since then I’ve wearied of moralizing scientists. His predictions were biased and often wrong. I still lied his older works. This one not so much

This is a winner. The events are brutal. The enemy is evil. It’s a compelling read hard to put down though people keep dying and it’s never clear how it’s all going to turn out until the very end. Even then

Fletch stories are great because of their irreverence and because the crimes he covers are usually pretty funny. This episode is no exception. The characters are mostly crazy. Or at least goofy. I laughed a lot while listening to it on audible Only three episodes to go. It should be a miniseries

There’s a lot off good stuff here but it should be taken in small doses like a podcast. Otherwise it seems too much like a rant from a crazy person. In small doses, it’s good and a worthwhile listen. I agree wit a lot, but not all.
