There's a reason why I own multiple copies of all of Stephen's books. His whit, charm, and elegance in his reading and writing is enough to keep a metaphorical troglodyte like me begging for more. Because I live in America, we got the audio version much later than everyone else. Absolutely worth the wait, even though I have an autographed copy and a regular copy (so as to not taint the autographed one) I still waited to hear it first because his narration takes you there, in the rooms, palace halls and onto the decks of the ships with the characters. Thank you Stephen. You are a beacon of light in a dark world.

Stephen Fry is one of my favorite people

I have enjoyed all of Stephen Fry’s entries in this series, this may be the most entertaining of the lot. Tying together the various homecomings of the various heroes of the Trojan war was, in my opinion, inspired. Combine that with a talent for narrative and dialogue (and some very solid voice acting) and you have a winner.

Excellent Framing

This much-anticipated book was well worth the wait. Mr Fry’s knack for storytelling rivals Homer and Vergil, and his sense of humor is unsurpassed. I devoured the book in my leisure time, re-listening to passages to ensure that I didn’t miss a single detail in the rich retelling of this timeless tale. Kudos to Mr Fry on this superb addition to his series.

Another Triumph for Fry

This Greek Saga retold by Stephen Fry both in writing and narration are among the most enjoyable audiobooks I’ve ever had the pleasure to listen to. They’re captivating, funny and beautifully told. Cannot recommend them enough

Excellent in all ways, as expected

Stephen Fry is one of the best storytellers I've ever listened to. His knowledge and research as a writer of these books have also enhanced my listening experience. The stories are not new, but every time I listen, I learn a new linguistic term that I never connected before. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Engaging retelling of the story

He knows the Gods intimately, and he has capped off an amazing quadrilogy with Odyssey. Essentially reading for any believer (as long as you keep in mind that Fry himself, self-reportedly, is not).
