Mr. Fry has done it again! This latest journey into myths and legends did not disappoint and I can only say that I hope that there are more to come!
Like the rest of the Mythos series, Mr. Fry is able to make us all see so clearly that these stories are timeless and remain relevant. They have inspired my 6 year old to want to learn more about mythology, which I believe is part of the whole point, myths of all kinds make us curious about the world and how we fit in it. I have all 4 in both print and the audio versions and I hope 🙏🏾 , hope Mr. Fry takes us further into the founding of Rome perhaps? (although of course I know these books are an awful lot of work for everyone involved and I'm every so lucky to be able to have them...) but still! Best.Series.Ever!
Thank you Mr. Fry!

Well worth the wait!!!!

I think this is the best of the series... and Mythos was one of my favorites.

Fantastic

I've been eagerly awaiting this release since last year when I read the first 3 volumes. Fry is a terrific narrator of the gods, heroes, wars, and homecomings of Greek mythology. His warm voice and casual style made me feel like I was listening to a friend relay these stories to me. How fitting of an approach given how these epic poems were originally performed in the oral tradition long before the ancient Greek writing system first emerged. I will miss the anticipation of more yet to come but I am so very grateful that the work can finally be called complete.

a brilliant capstone to the series

Extraordinary storytelling that made Odysseus come alive. Frye is incredible. I had to stop myself from listening so I could get enough sleep.

Magical!

The way the story is narrated/written makes it hard for you to follow the story. And what didn’t make it better was switching from the characters Greek names to the characters Roman names. If you aren’t good at following stories with lots of characters and stories that jump from character to character I wouldn’t recommend listening to this book. It’s the kind of book you should have a physical copy of to follow along with the audio if you do try to listen to it.

Not a good book for audible readers
