About this listen

A man presumed dead is suddenly wanted for murder in this thriller of secrets, lies, and dangerous conspiracies that threaten to cover up the truth.

Three years ago, sports agent Myron Bolitar gave a eulogy at the funeral of his client, renowned basketball coach Greg Downing. Myron and Greg had history: initially as deeply personal rivals, and later as unexpected business associates. Myron made peace and moved on–until now, when two federal agents walked into his office, demanding to know where Greg Downing is.

According to the agents, Greg is still alive—and has been placed at the scene of a double homicide, making him their main suspect. Shocked, Myron needs answers.

Myron and Win, longtime friends and colleagues, set out to find the truth, but the more they discover about Greg, the more dangerous their world becomes. Secrets, lies, and a murderous conspiracy that stretches back into the past churn at the heart of Harlan Coben's blistering new novel.

MYRON and WIN are back.

I have been a fan of this series for years. I have reread it more times than i can count. I do miss Jonathon Marosz narratoring, but Steven Weber is good. I miss the voices of the different characters by Marosz.
Back to the book. This is in my top three of the series. Deal Breaker and Fade Away being the other two. This book brought back the old Myron and Win. I loved this book. More than enough surprises and twists. I recommend to any fan of the series.

Myron’s complicated family

Loved the immediate murder and not understanding why until close to end of book. Love it when psychopath’s are in the story

Over the top narration

I have enjoyed the Myron and Win partnership for many years and I think Coben is a quality writer. This was a good story and fit well with the aging heroes who still get it done but pay a heavy price to do so.
Tho only off-putting aspect was the way overdone, shrill, nails on chalkboard rendition of Myron's mother. It was a chore to listen to her screeching at people and it did not really add to the storyline.

SO glad to have Myron back!

I was totally bummed out when Harlan Coben decided to stop writing Myron Bolitar books. I was thrilled when I saw this. And he did not disappoint! This book had me on the edge of my seat. It made me smile, laugh, cry. it was a bit of a different story and I was there for it every step of the way. If I could give this book 10, stars I would. Wow!

Great!

My only complaint about this entire book was that sometimes it was very hard to decipher between Wynn and Myron when the narrator was talking. I love Steven Weber and think he has done a great job on other books but this one was tougher for me because Wynn and Myron had a lot of back and forth and it was hard to tell who was actually supposed to be speaking. Other than that I absolutely loved the book!

Love Myron Bolitar

I am so glad Harlen has brought Myron back. I hope this is not the end of Myron. This story line was great.

Netflix needs to pick up the series. There are so many stories they could go with.

A little confusing

I always enjoy Coben' s novel and especially Steven Weber's narration. At times it was somewhat difficult to follow but overall worth the listen. The ending got to me.
