Story
Medical-school-dropout police detective Richelle Dadd is...well, dead. But that won't stop her from trying to hold on to her house in a divorce battle with a bitter husband. Or keep her from digging into her own murder, to discover who put the bullet into her heart. Or from coming to terms with her Gypsy heritage. And it certainly won't stand in the way of finding out the reason she's been reanimated as a zombie assassin, no longer in control of her life.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, But this was such a surprise - a detective story wrapped up in the guise of a paranormal cast -only with a twist - a read you must enjoy as soon as you can - looking forward to the second in the series

the story was interesting and kept me enthralled despite the religious overtones near the end - that I could do without - but it was worth listening to - enough that I've bought the second book by this author - the narration was right on including the occasional accent.

Story
Maddox - The reason I rarely go home is three simple words: I'm a liar. When the pressure to marry my childhood sweetheart became too much, I told her I was gay and then fled to New York like my ass was on fire. Now, five years later and after a drunken encounter, I find myself invited to her wedding. And I have to bring my boyfriend-the boyfriend who doesn't exist because I'm straight. At least, I think I am. Meeting the guy I'm bribing to be my boyfriend for the weekend makes me question everything about myself.
