When I say that I have no triggers when I read, I mean it. When it comes to this book, I am at a loss for words. Oh no! I couldn't take my eyes off it, even though it was heartbreaking. The work was flawless. The storyline was interesting. I'm not sure how I could ever recommend this book because the subject matter was so upsetting. However, it was among my favorite books ever. Read at your own peril. Don't pass judgment on me... lol

Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

I have no idea why I put off reading this. I adore Calle Hart's novels. Even though I don't read a lot of fantasy, Kingfisher has grown to be one of my all-time favorite book boyfriends.
I absolutely adored this book's meticulous storytelling. I adore it when writers give their characters plenty of time. Page by page, the plot developed, and I relished every second. The humor, spice, and banter were unparalleled.
This novel has turned into a soothing audiobook. I am eagerly awaiting the next book!

How have I not read this book before now?! It had everything I love. Darkness, spicy scenes, an academy, and action. I fell into this book headfirst and couldn't stop listening. The narrators were phenomenal and brought this story to life. This was an action-packed story and the narrators were able to portray the danger they were facing effortlessly.
Woods excels at building tension and suspense throughout the novel, expertly balancing eerie atmosphere with heartfelt moments of self-discovery. The pacing is brisk yet thoughtful, leading readers through twists and turns that challenge assumptions and keep them guessing until the final chapter.
What truly sets "Coven" apart is Woods' ability to create vivid, multi-dimensional characters who feel both relatable and larger than life. Willow's journey is not just one of uncovering secrets, but also of personal growth and empowerment. Her relationships with other characters are complex and nuanced, adding depth to the story and highlighting themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the power of choice.
Overall, "Coven" is a captivating read that blends elements of mystery, fantasy, and coming-of-age into a compelling narrative. Harper L. Woods has crafted a novel that will appeal to fans of supernatural fiction and anyone who enjoys a well-crafted story with a strong, determined protagonist at its heart.

Wow! I didn't know what to expect with this one. It was a pleasant surprise. The surprise was it was a YA novel with zero spice but I enjoyed it anyway. It was action packed. The plot was perfectly paced. The characters were developed. This was my first read by this author but it won't be my last.

The Nimali mistake me for their missing princess. Her father, the dragon king, is identical to my own. But in this world, he dotes on me with the love and affection I always craved. Imaginarium Book Con here I come! I am trying to get through my list of fantasy books in preparation for an upcoming fantasy book con. I'm so glad I tried this author 1st. This story was fast paced, had dragons, hot smex, and magic. The narrators really brought these characters to life. This book was too short, and I wanted so much more. So glad the series continues with a new couple. I am so here for it.

We became famous overnight. One day, I was a twenty-four-year-old drummer slinging pizzas to make ends meet, and the next, I was a member of the most popular alternative band ever. Despite being world-famous, there was no connection in it. I'd lost touch with reality, with intimacy. I couldn't find a place to be normal. I'd lived my entire life straight-edged while watching obsession destroy my best friend. Obsession terrified me—that is until I met him.

The romance was adorable. The plot was believable. The characters were developed. The sex was sexing. J.R. Gray has a new fan. This series will definitely stop me from real life responsibilities. Also, I fell in love with Iris in one chapter. I am without a doubt pretty obsessed with Iris and this series.

This was my 1st read by Lydia Michaels and I have no idea how I have never read her books. But thanks to Pam Godwin I picked this book up and I'm so glad I did. Hurt put me on an emotional roller coaster. It was a dark, heartbreaking journey of self-love. How did Lydia write such a vicious hero who exhibited such innocence and vulnerability? The juxtaposition was jarring and amazing. The heroine was so caring and strong, I rooted for their innocent love. Let's not forget the actual story telling. This was the 1st past/present story where I couldn't wait to return to the "past" part of the story. I was totally enraptured when it came to Callan's POV. I absolutely loved this dark af story. This was my 1st read by this author, but it definitely won't be my last.

Just what I needed!
Reviewed: 05-04-24
Kennedy Ryan is one of the only authors I'll do contemporary romance for. I need my romance to be pitch black dark. Her stories are extremely layered, and I enjoy peeling each layer away. This story didn't disappoint and kept to Kennedy Ryan's resume. I have been waiting for Soledad's story since Before I Let Go was released, where we got some peaks into Soledad's life. I knew her husband was sneaky, but I didn't know he was a sleazeball. He did some unthinkable mess. But Soledad rose from the ashes like a phoenix. She did what so many other women have had to do, pick up the pieces and find beauty in life again. She could have done it all on her own, but she had the friendship of that sexy man Judah. Judah offered friendship, patience, and eventually unconditional love. Judah was such a breath of fresh air. Judah was brought to life by one of my favorite narrators, Jacobi Diem. His performance on this audible was everything it always is... FLAWLESS! Now we wait for the next book. I'm so here for this series and the rich auntie coming our way.

A Pleasant Surprise!!!!
Reviewed: 05-04-24
If someone would have told me this was a romcom I would have never read this. I'm a dark romance girly, so I don't normally read romcom. Needless to say, this book was hilarious, and I found myself constantly asking "What is wrong with her?!" Meaning Misery. She was absolutely insane in the most organic way. I didn't feel like Misery was trying to be funny, it felt like her sense of humor was just part of her. Everything about this book just felt natural, even the angst inducing slow burn. I have never in my life wanted a couple to JUST SCREW ALREADY more than I wanted them to screw. Gah, the slow burn burned me alive. The waiting was painful, but the comedy, plot and character development made the wait so worth it. This was my 1st read by this author, but it won't be my last,

Why he wants me, Abbi Mitchell - a girl who lacks experience on every front that would matter to him - as his personal assistant, I cannot fathom, especially when I keep messing up in the most spectacular way. Did I already mention he's a bastard? A beautiful, moody one, who's quick to demand, slow to apologize. And toying with me every chance he gets.
