Jane Randall questioned for the hundredth time as the rickety bus bumped over what looked like little more than a cow path, why she’d taken the job as an assistant for the most spoiled actress in Hollywood? Oh right, the money and glamor. A chance to spend Christmas in London.

Story
All of London is abuzz over the imminent arrival of Wulfric Bedwyn, the reclusive, cold-as-ice Duke of Bewcastle, at the most glittering social event of the season. Some whisper of a tragic love affair. Others say he is so aloof and passionless that not even the greatest beauty could capture his attention. But on this dazzling afternoon, one woman did catch the duke's eye - and she was the only female in the room who wasn't even trying.

reminiscent of pride and prejudice

like other posters said Buecastle was developed over time and I agree I always like this character. I actually skipped like three books cuz the weight was killing me. it had a slight pride and prejudice spin
but it was not disappointing the story was really good

interesting story, based on taming of the shrew from William Shakespeare. and I have some classic elements like a damsel in distress. Kate's attitude was a little much. but the story still worked

Story
The legend of the weeping stones is old: They weep only in the presence of one whose destiny is integral to the survival of Scotland. However, there is a sting in the tail of the blessing; whoever is so marked by the stone is fated to love only once, whether it be for good or ill. Gair witnessed the stone weep when Heather touched it. Now he must decide whether to uphold his oath to protect the Templar Knights' treasure, or protect at all costs the frail lass who is destined to save his beloved Scotland.

Story
She raced across the pasture, vaulted a fence, and landed, stunned and breathless, on top of the most handsome man she had ever seen. The bemused stranger stayed to capture the fancy of the brood of orphaned children in her charge, then stole Lauren Hill's heart with a searing kiss as he left. Lauren couldn't tell him she was a widowed countess fallen on hard times. She tried to forget him - until she saw him again at a London ball. The man who haunted her dreams was a duke, out of her class...and he was pledged to another woman.

I haven't finished reading the book but I really wish she would have picked Magnus
***my revised review**
listening to the story was akin to going to the dentist and having your teeth pulled out without anesthesia of any sort it was such a drama llama story and the two main characters are just terrible the only reason why I stuck this long is because I wanted to know what happened to poor Magnus and I just can't take it any longer so I'm not going to read the book anymore it's just too painful my teeth hurt too much.
