Story
Though the Greek and Roman crewmembers of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen - all of them - and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood - the blood of Olympus - in order to wake.

What disappointed you about The Blood of Olympus?
I had to turn in the last book and it looks as if I will be doing the same with this one. This was NOT written by Rick Riordin!! It is terrible. The story just gose in circles with no real purpose. It is too long and the people have not grown at all. I expected better form the man the started Percy Jackson.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Dune it is more uplifting
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Nick Chamian?
Anyone that can read the newspaper would have done a better job
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
no

I really was looking forward to this book, but the author just lost their puff. The pacing was off and the characters had just lost something.
Time travel stories are tough the author tried to do to hard and fell flat.
My son and I enjoy all types of books and he will listen to the end of books I give up on. I told him not to bother.

Story
Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself.

The book is great. If someone asked me who the 12 great Greek gods were before, I would have said "the what"? The reader is also great he is supposed to sound like a teenager with out a clue. THAT'S THE POINT. And could we PLEASE get over the stupid HP guy.
HP is over and JK is only in this for the money. Be honest, a two part ending. MONEY MONEY
Please read the book I have read it at least 5 times, and have enjoyed it every time.

This is the first of a group of books for young adults that is using ALL available media sources to play a game. Socialistic wisely chose Rick Riodan to start this project. Rick Riodan is known for the Percy Jackson books (young adults) and for his Tres Navarre mystery (adult) books.
The plain is for Kids to read the books, go on line assume a family, and search for clues to solve the 39 clues.
I must say I am having a ball..
I am trying hard to keep up with my son, and must say he is winning. For now
Get this and have some fun too.

Too Long
Reviewed: 09-26-08
Robert Heinlein once said that a good writer must be able to tell his/hers story in as few words as possible. This was once called editing. If you do not have the ability to delete whole chapters for the benefit of the story you do not have a story to tell. This book should have been cut by at least 200 pages. Even Gerard Doyle was sounding tired at the end. I had great praise for Christopher Paolini after Eldest. I felt that he had grown as a writer, but his editor is just plain awful. And after hearing the bubble headed MTV voice of his "editor" I can see that Christopher Paolini's only hope for a future is to get a serous editor that has more experience then he has.
This said I am giving the book 3 stars because it is not a terrible read (listen). Mr. Paolini has brought us a good book, I am just sorry to see such talent being manipulated for the publishers good.
