I really enjoyed the narrator choice. She did a great job. Without spoiling, there's a few things that just don't quite make sense to me and tripped me up, taking me out of the experience of the story.

I listened to this on audio, and the single performance was fantastic. The narrator did a great job voicing all the parts, and I loved her masculine voices. The book was short and spicy with such a sweet holiday romance. I highly recommend it, especially during the holiday season.

She loves her job, but she's got some questions about her boss. Like what's under that cloak of ever-billowing. Her wondering intensifies when one day the Lich needs something from her that isn't just scheduling appointments—but a shiver. Good book

I enjoyed this book. The feminine audio does need a bit more editing as some things were repeated and some voices seemed to be voiced inaccurate. This didn't happen enough to really take away from the story but it did remove me from the story a bit and impact the listening experience.

Story
They took everything from me. Time to return the favor. A few months ago, I was just a regular nineteen-year-old girl. Now I'm trapped at a remote college and held at the mercy of three savage bullies. No one can see through the Serpents' Adonis-like disguises. Except me. I've never felt this alone before. This terrified. This...furious. These three murderers stole everything from me. They think the humiliation, the degradation, the suffering they've put me through has left me broken? Guess again, Serpents.

Story
Every town has a history. Ours is just a little darker than most. For years, I've celebrated Halloween and Hollow Bridge's history with everyone else who lives here. Parades, festivals, and insane Halloween parties have always been a staple for us. Some bad behavior is expected, given what we're celebrating. But murder has never been on the table before. Someone in Hollow Bridge wants to bring the stories to life, and they're not firing any warning shots. When rumors of someone wearing a Halloween mask surface, it isn't long before the first person is killed.

Great audio of an amazing book
Reviewed: 10-28-24
I typically prefer dual or duet style narration but Alyssa did an absolutely phenomenal job narrating this audiobook. The way she voiced the male voices was so well done. This book is a bit of a slower build. It added to the feel of the book and I think the slower build up was a perfect choice for this. I have loved all of the books I have read by AJ Merlin and highly recommend them.
