Thoughtful, Deep, Funny, with Charming Voice Acting
Reviewed: 03-16-24
This story was so charming and full of fun and emotion. Scott did an outstanding job with the different voices; capturing the best individual dog and cat vocals and hit all the humorous and serious points where it counts.

Story
Half Apache and all man, Jake Redman was more than a match for the wild Arizona Territory. Sarah Conway, on the other hand, was an Eastern lady who belonged anywhere else but on the rugged land Jake loved. But beneath Sarah's ladylike demeanor beat the heart of a true pioneer, a woman he yearned to make his own.

Early Work
Reviewed: 01-06-21
The story kept me interested as all of Nora Roberts books do, but I can tell it was an earlier work and that she had honed her skills with time. I wasn't impressed with the narrator of this book. His voices were not consistent within characters throughout the book.

Story
Ryder is the hardest Montgomery brother to figure out - with a tough-as-nails outside and possibly nothing too soft underneath. He’s surly and unsociable, but when he straps on a tool belt, no woman can resist his sexy swagger. Except, apparently, Hope Beaumont, the innkeeper of his own Inn BoonsBoro.... As the former manager of a D.C. hotel, Hope is used to excitement and glamour, but that doesn’t mean she can’t appreciate the joys of small-town living. She’s where she wants to be - except for in her love life....

I enjoyed the characters, as always. I feel like I’m living the story, and whether I am listening to it or reading it, I am completely involved. I have never found another author of that I like as well.

Story
Maleficent was a different sort of faerie. For one thing she was raised by all the Fair Folk after her parents were killed. For another she believed there had to be some good in everyone, even humans. Happy and spirited, Maleficent was beloved by all who knew her. That is until she experienced the ultimate betrayal by a trusted friend.
