I loved this series. Really a great puzzle that is fun to try to guess what will happen.
Loved getting 4 books for the price of one!

Loved hearing this story.
I think there should have been more grief over the loss of her husband. It seemed quite odd because so much of the book is dealing with her grief for her brother.

I love this book. I love how the whole book is full of surprises. I enjoyed getting to know all of the characters.
I especially loved how God got a hold of so many hearts.
Most shocking to me was Eleanor and Rick.

This story is so painful to read. It places you directly in to the throws of WWII. With every story fiction or nonfiction regarding this topic, I am shocked of the absolute abject violence of mankind.
This story is unbelievable. Worth the read, as long as you want your heart shredded.

This book was incredible. Enjoyed it all the way through. The main theme is the cost of being part of war. How deeply emotionally injured soldiers become from all they witness. I couldn’t help but think about my grandfather who was in WWII.

Lynn Austin creates in depth characters and puts them through a transformation.
I loved the outstanding plot that has sadness but is not ruled by it. The woman are ones who persevere. Definitely worth “listening “ to.

I’m attached to the characters! Good underlying message about keeping a forward focus in life.
Also loved Virginia(Ginny) and Harold. My WW2 veteran grandparents were named that.
Grandpa was a Marine, and Grandma a Navy Nurse. So loved hearing their names set in a book in an era that they lived in.

This is a book that presents the big picture. I started listening to it, then luckily realized that there was a book 1: waves of mercy.
Book 1 is absolutely heart wrenching. Excessively so.
Book 2 is the redemption.
Annika’s spiritual journey is inspiring and intriguing. I love that she persisted to solve a mystery.
I love the character of the birth father.
Most of all, I love the message that Geesje has for us. That serving God isn’t an occupation, but a way of life.
Her love for God became who she was. She did not let bitterness take a foothold.
One thing I did not like was the lack of importance given to Martin’s death. It bothered me.
Since it wasn’t really part of the story, he should have not died.

Overal great book.
Love this author.
I think this is the 6th book I’ve read by her and I’ve loved every one.
