I’ve always loved these books. That said, the audio editing is terrible. It skips sentence, repeats paragraphs, etc. it’s like the person editing wasn’t actually listening.

Did not like that the horse dies. Have to say that first. I loved finding a book narrated by the actor who plays one of the characters in the story. Miss Gill did an excellent job. I hope you have her do more narration in the future.

Alex Kingston did an amazing job on this book. The plot twists abound with ‘I didn’t see that coming’ moments, and all with River Song’s iconic voice and wit. The writing is top notch, but having the author voice her alter-ego was key. It wouldn’t have hit the same with any other narrator.
I’d love to hear Ms Kingston narrate more books.

I am very upset that books 2 and 3 of the series, ‘Bearing an Hourglass’ and ‘With a Tangled Skein’ are not available from audible. Why you gonna leave out 2 books in the middle of a series? SUPER ANNOYING.

Thought it was an interesting take when I first heard about it, but I was wrong. It isn't merely interesting; it's brilliantly written, and flawlessly acted. The score is compelling and dynamic. I subscribed to audible just for this, and was not disappointed. Bring on volume 2!! Well done Dom, Billy, and the rest of the cast. Keep up the good work!
