Story
After forming a coalition of human resistance against the enemy invasion, Dalinar Kholin and his Knights Radiant have spent a year fighting a protracted, brutal war. Neither side has gained an advantage, and the threat of a betrayal by Dalinar’s crafty ally Taravangian looms over every strategic move. Now, as new technological discoveries by Navani Kholin’s scholars begin to change the face of the war, the enemy prepares a bold and dangerous operation. The arms race that follows will challenge the very core of the Radiant ideals.

Book Good Performance Good Audible and Kindle Bad
Reviewed: 01-03-21
The story was engrossing and entertaining. For such a long book, it was able to keep me pulled in throughout. I will not spoil it, but there were several huge surprises. Sanderson did not disappoint.
My only complaint is Amazon. No synchronization between audible and kindle is a big fail on Amazon's part. Since I use the technology to enjoy the story, its failure is part of the story's rating. If that would have worked, I would have given 5 stars.

This book is political garbage. I would not recommend this book. While parts of the story were decent, too much of it was political.

Story
Stephen Leeds is perfectly sane. It's his hallucinations who are mad. A genius of unrivaled aptitude, Stephen can learn any new skill, vocation, or art in a matter of hours. However, to contain all of this, his mind creates hallucinatory people - Stephen calls them aspects - to hold and manifest the information. Wherever he goes, he is joined by a team of imaginary experts to give advice, interpretation, and explanation. He uses them to solve problems...for a price. Then a company hires him to recover stolen property - a camera that can allegedly take pictures of the past....

not fond of the rap up

I enjoyed the story, but was not fond of how the author tied everything up. I won't spoil it, but suffice it to say it didn't feel right to me.

Story
Inhuman is Book 5 in the best-selling, smash hit phenomenon, Post-Human series. Listeners will get to rejoin all of the characters they fell in love with along the way in the previous 4 audiobooks. Inhuman not only ties the first four audiobooks together, it also introduces a new villain, one that has been lurking in the background throughout, and that will trump any villain in the history of literature, film, or comics. V-SINN is its name, and, this time, it may just be too much for the post-humans to handle.

Story
The magic flames are raging. Blades are melting. Souls are reduced to ashes in the fury of battle. The grand finale of the war for the First Temple is upon us. The last trump cards have been played, the reserves are all exhausted, and even the gods have engaged in the plebeian fight. The universe is on the point of collapse. Broken are the chains that hold the worlds together. The icy waters of the Baltic cool the scorching sands of the Frontier.

Worst book in the series
Reviewed: 07-11-16
What would have made The War better?
Not added all the racism and sexism. The whole series is told from the perspective of a gamer. I understand that, but this book went way further into anti-American, anti-female anti- than all the previous books combined. I know it is fiction, but come on, how can so much hate be there without some source.
Would you ever listen to anything by D. Rus again?
Not sure.
What does Michael Goldstrom bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Good narration. Brings the characters to life.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
It moved the story along somewhat. Narrator did a good job.
Any additional comments?
I was really disappointed in this chapter of the play to live series. I also wonder at releasing 2 books at a time that add up to the total reading time of one of the average books in the genre. Seems a little like a money grab to me.
