Story
She said yes to Morelli. She said yes to Ranger. Now Stephanie Plum has two fiancés and no idea what to do about it. But the way things are going, she might not live long enough to marry anyone. While Stephanie stalls for time, she buries herself in her work as a bounty hunter, tracking down an unusually varied assortment of fugitives from justice. There’s Eugene Fleck, a seemingly sweet online influencer who might also be YouTube star Robin Hoodie, masked hero to the homeless, who hijacks delivery trucks and distributes their contents to the needy.

one eyebrow quirk
Reviewed: 11-21-24
I've enjoyed this series so much that I always pre-order the books so I can jump right in to the continued saga of Stephanie Plums funny, ridiculous and oddly entertaining life. I've enjoyed both the romantic love triangle and the slap stick side kick and nutty family members. These books are very relatable. I found this book however. #31. leaning heavily on brand and product placement and name dropping. a bit more than in previous books. The story stayed in true Stephanie fashion where she miraculously gets in to and then out of the weirdest and most dangerous things. I found the new characters introduced very similar to some of the past characters so I spent time thinking about the similarities which took me out of the story. silly, I know. thus the eyebrow quirk. I liked it but there were things about it I had to shake my head about. Especially the beginning.

Story
You've lost your job as a department store lingerie buyer, your car's been repossessed, and most of your furniture and small appliances have been sold off to pay last month's rent. Now the rent is due again. And you live in New Jersey. What do you do? If you're Stephanie Plum, you become a bounty hunter. But not just a nickel-and-dime bounty hunter, you go after the big money. That means a cop gone bad. And not just any cop. She goes after Joe Morelli, a disgraced former vice cop who is also the man who took Stephanie's virginity at age sixteen and then wrote the details on a bathroom wall.

Meet Jim Carrey. Sure, he's an insanely successful and beloved movie star drowning in wealth and privilege — but he's also lonely. Maybe past his prime. Maybe even...getting fat? He's tried diets, gurus, and cuddling with his military-grade Israeli guard dogs, but nothing seems to lift the cloud of emptiness and ennui. Even the sage advice of his best friend, actor, and dinosaur skull collector Nicolas Cage isn't enough to pull Carrey out of his slump.

I had hopes for this book to be a wonderful insight into this man who has such an incredible way of making people laugh. I didn't read any preview. I didn't expect that it was going to be a paranoid introspective work, piece of science fiction. Although they're are really funny parts, like the use of the names of his Hollywood friends. I can't help but feel a little disappointed. To give it a little bit of praise it was very intellectually stimulating.

Story
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

it seems kind of ridiculous but I did not know that this was going to be the same story as Twilight but just through Edwards perspective. I honestly thought it was just a different book from Stephanie Meyer. I didn't really know what to make of it to begin with. I struggled with it at times because of the amount of over the top ooey gooey romance novel type of writing. I haven't decided yet if I listen to the second book when it comes out.

Suzanne Collins does another amazing job grabbing my attention immediately. This book is a great offshoot of The Hunger Games. A seriously fascinating look into how President Snow becomes the cunning, evil, sadistic tyrant who meets his match with Katniss Everdeen. I really enjoyed Santino Fontana's narration. he does an especially good job of bringing the songs that Lucy Grey sings a clear and cylabic distinction that makes it fun to listen to.

Story
There's nothing like a good deli, and the Red River Deli in Trenton is one of the best. World-famous for its pastrami, cole slaw, and for its disappearing managers. Over the last month, three have vanished from the face of the earth, and the only clue in each case is one shoe that's been left behind. The police are baffled. Lula is convinced that it's a case of alien abduction. Whatever it is, they'd better figure out what's going on before they lose their new manager, Ms. Stephanie Plum.

I figured with 25 books on Stephanie Plum Janet Evanovich would struggle for content but she made the book really funny with all the goofy mishaps between Stephanie and Lula and the characters that she comes across. Not sure why she tied Wolf in to this story. It just seemed a little odd. I enjoyed the narrator her character voices are really good and from the ending we obviously know there's going to be a number 26.

You have been lied to, told there's no alternative, no choice, and that you don’t deserve any better. Brand destroys this illusory facade as amusingly and deftly as he annihilates Morning Joe anchors, Fox News fascists, and BBC stalwarts.
