Story
It's time you learned from the legend of Honi the Circle Maker. When his land was drought-stricken in ancient times, Honi ha-M'agel drew a circle in the sand, stepped inside it, and wouldn't budge until God answered his petition for rain. Honi's story transformed author Mark Batterson's own experience with prayer and inspired him to document his journey to praying more powerful prayers in The Circle Maker.

Challenging but Great
Reviewed: 01-11-23
I purchased this book on Kindle after only a few chapters of listening to it. I have highlighted and written down personal notes that will influence me for years to come. The author notes he has people pray for those who would pick up this book. Well I picked this up at a very pivotal time in my life and feel like it was preordained due to prayer. This book has challenged me in a variety of ways and opened my eyes to see and my ears to hear everything that God will be able to do through me for his glory.

I love this series and I love the wit and sarcasm that is prevalent throughout the book as well. I don't want to ruin too much but if you enjoyed the other books in this series and enjoy the author you won't go wrong with this book either. I would offer this book up to any fan of the Disc World books. a solid choice for how to spend a few good hours of your week.

Story
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

One of my top books for 2020

Loved this story and how it connects those who struggle with depression with the reader. I loved the reader who excellently related the story of Nora and her struggles. I am getting this book for several of my book club besties because I know they will love it just as much as I have.

Story
More than 50 years since the passage of the Equal Pay Act, the wage gap still hovers at 80 percent, and only five percent of CEOs in the Fortune 500 are women. Today, rising up the ranks in many companies still often means cutthroat, win-at-all-costs tactics, where being the loudest voice in the room is more important than being the person with the best ideas for moving the company forward. Not surprisingly, most women don’t want to play this game.

Preach It Sister!

This book is a must-read for all women, especially if you are raising a future woman. I read Lean In back in the day I really felt convicted that I needed to push myself and become a leader. I took six weeks off for each of my maternity leaves with my children. At the end of working for what I believed to be my best career advancement job I was depressed and my marriage was almost done.
If only this book was there for me instead of the "make work life your bi#;$" books. The author combines research with personal experience seamlessly. It is one of my must reads for the year and probably forever. Thank you Marissa for writing this book. I am forever a fangirl.

Moving Dynamic Story about Good
Reviewed: 04-24-19
I read about 4-5 books a month between audible and my Kindle. I could hardly put this book down. I listened to it on my commute home and as soon as I had my kids to bed I was reading or listening to it again. This is one of the books that allows the reader to step into how amazing people are making a difference in this world. I really wish stories like this were more often apart of what is reported in the news. It is a hard book to listen to/read at times but we all need to hear it.
