This book was very well written and in the end it inspired me to get back into BCH and Bitcoin development after having given up in 2020. Thank you Roger and Steve very much for writing this. We are lucky to have you both.

Principles of Economics

Story
Principles of Economics is a university-level textbook in economics that offers a clear and concise exploration of the most important economic concepts. This book is unapologetically Austrian in its approach. It tackles major economic concepts and topics independently, but in a logical sequence aimed at delivering the listener an understanding of economics at an individual and societal level, and the widespread implications of economics as a topic.

I was already a fan of the Austrian school and didn't expect much from this book. I was pleasantly surprised at how much utility I got out of it. The author is brilliant and is a great writer. Because of his clear writing and perfect logic, this will now be one of the books I recommend to people alongside the other greats such as Human Action, Man Economy and State or Economics in One Lesson.

Another entry in the best-selling, irreverent, hard-hitting Politically Incorrect Guide series! Economics from a rational, conservative viewpoint—that is, a refreshing look at how money actually works from an author who knows the score, and how the law of economics are frequently broken and derailed by pernicious leftists and virtue signaling progressives.

I will now have to decide if I will recommend this book or Hazlitt's 'Economics in One Lesson' to people curious about economics and civil society. This one certainly wins if you want to convey modern issues and their misunderstandings. In a better world they both would be required reading amongst thoughtful persons.

Story
A recent poll showed 43 percent of Americans think more socialism would be a good thing. What do these people not know? In The Case Against Socialism, Rand Paul outlines the history of socialism, from Stalin’s gulags to the current famine in Venezuela. He tackles common misconceptions about the “utopia” of socialist Europe. As it turns out, Scandinavian countries love capitalism as much as Americans, and have, for decades, been cutting back on the things Bernie loves the most.

A Theory of Socialism and Capitalism

Story
Here is Hans Hoppe's first treatise in English - actually his first book in English - and the one that put him on the map as a social thinker and economist to watch. He argued that there are only two possible archetypes in economic affairs: socialism and capitalism. All systems are combinations of those two types. The capitalist model he defines as pure protection of private property, free association, and exchange - no exceptions. All deviations from that ideal are species of socialism, with public ownership and interference with trade.

Story
In this timely new P.I . Guide, Murphy reveals the stark truth: free market failure didn't cause the Great Depression and the New Deal didn't cure it. Shattering myths and politically correct lies, he tells why World War II didn't help the economy or get us out of the Great Depression; why it took FDR to make the Depression "Great"; and why Herbert Hoover was more like Obama and less like Bush than the liberal media would have you believe.
