The story was interesting and enjoyable. I love the fact that the main character was a strong woman, not so much whiny/annoying.
near chapter 35...definitely by chapter 38, the fragmented sentences in the writing was not only sometimes a bit confusing, but a bit annoying. while the fragmented sentences sometimes felt like a stylistic approach, by ch38, I was kinda ready for something else. other than that, the books were good. I wish there were more in the series. 😊

i enjoyed the story line and the reader was pretty nice to listen to. it was also nice that the main character is about my age. However, where some references to being older and feeling it were alright...it kinda got annoying near the end. enough that i almost quit reading. 😅 im older but its not that rough. lol. maybe im just being sensitive because my 40th birthday is in 12 days. 🤷♀️ either way, the book was good enough that ill be reading/listening the second one. 😊

well, theres a lot of sex in this book....not against that but the first scene was....borderline rape, that lasted foreverrrrr....definitely not for me.🤷♀️ some of the lines were a bit..
cheesy and the reading dripped with a....fake dripping romance tone...? the guys voice was nice but still, eh. i think i was most off-put by the sex/rape scene that was literally....over an hour of the reading.

its nice that the narrative is different from a lot of shifter stories. i was pleasantly surprised the way the lead character was insightful and strong; i have read stories where the main character is whiny and there are no insightful messages behind the story. i was a bit scared by the title of this book, but because of the description, i gave it a chance. loved it. im only on book 1. i cant wait to hear how things begin to unfold.
