Fast moving after a slow start. Interesting characters, narration good except the "voice" given the heroine by the narrator was annoying.

Story
It's summer on the Jersey Shore. Children play on the beach. Husbands are off working in the city. And the surf echoes in the night. Here, in this perfect place, a serial killer has no worries in the world - except choosing the next victim. Cam Hastings has come to Long Beach Island with her teenage daughter and the hope that maybe she can save her failed marriage. Cam has never stopped loving her husband, Mike, nor has she been able to outrun her flaws and demons - a vanished mother, a lost sister, and the ugly visions she has of missing children.

This book is one I wouldn’t read again. While overall the story was good, it was slow. So much self thought and weakness in the part of the main character. I just wanted to tell her to get a grip and make a move.

Really loved this book, keep reading (listening) one after another. Have come to really appreciate the American Indian aspects of Jruegers Books!

Story
Mark Randall lay dead in a field near Lowacre long before Smith had done what he had to do in Belfast. By the time he went back to work, the investigation was well underway. "It's not my case," he says more than once, and he really doesn't need it to be; he has enough to think about as it is. But going around the Norfolk countryside dotting the i's and crossing the t's, speaking to the local farmers and the Brothers of St. Francis from Abbeyfields, Smith begins to suspect that the investigation might be heading in entirely the wrong direction.

Excellent story line!

Wonderful, flowing story crossing many tragedy’s of war and people at wars. I can picture the Bomb and other machines used for decoding and establishing the message, the elation of a timely message and the desperate desire to break a code “in-time”. Terrific story, the characters are brought to life in a manner similar to cinema.
