hard to get into the story the virtual voice is very flat. book was really good excellent plot twist. surprise ending. would have been much more enjoyable with an actual person reading as it would have given more depth to the emotions of the characters.

I love Lisa Jackson. And I've listened and read multiple books by her. However, I could not get through the first 5 chapters in this book due to the doll monitoring boring voice of the narrator that's the only reason. I cannot Listen to this book it's awful

I liked the twists and turns and the story.dtruggled a bit with the narrator as she tended to lose volume at the end of her words making it difficult to hear and causing me to have to rewind several times.

I have fallen in love with the cavendish and walker series. Sally's writing is fun interesting and keeps me guessing who done it!
narrator is easy to listen to and not mundane as some others are.

I really enjoyed the historical accuracy and the glimpse into the life of this woman a real woman who assisted George Washington during the revolution when women weren't significant the narration was excellent very appropriate for this book and the author's note just wrapped it all up twist ending loved it
