Not Just For Managers
Reviewed: 02-23-23
I think sales people need this too. I teaches the values of having objectives and not blindly following KPI’s set by management. It highlights back story to the requirements that you boss demands from you but never tells you why. Well it’s because they were never trained to coach you. Read it. If you’re performing well just keep doing what you’re doing because you’re likely one step ahead simply because you’re reading this book. Great info and stories.

Story
The sales profession is in the midst of a perfect storm. Buyers have more power - more information, more at stake, and more control over the sales process - than any time in history. Technology is bringing disruptive change at an ever-increasing pace, creating fear and uncertainty that leaves buyers clinging to the status quo.

The Sample Got Me

The sample clip was one of the best parts of this book. It really did capture the purpose of the book and it was inviting and intriguing. It was a fairly long book and there were some good items. Not nearly as story dense and Id hoped it to be. Overall I would recommend it but it’s more of a value add than a meat and potatoes book.

In total appreciation

This book gives hope and answers. This is the answer if you’d like guidance that is loving and gentle and not focused on shame, feeling guilty and feeling stuck and hopeless. Richard Schwartz helps us understand that we can thank our protectors but developer a relationship with them, listen to them and sooth them so they feel comfortable not being on the dense so they can allow us to lead our lives from the all knowing place of “self” I call it my inner being. I’m thankful that he meditated and got in touch with his “self” and blended the concept of self and our inner being with therapy/counseling. I am going to read EVERYTHING I can get my hands on from him. This work will lift you up. No one, no matter how much trauma or pain you have suffered is hopeless. Everyone of us has a divine light within. I knew this and like May got in touch with this at times of meditation and yoga and connecting to god, the universe. But when I was triggered and had a emotional struggle, an argument with someone, I had difficulty identifying what to do and why I was triggered. This audio book helped me start to identify these parts of me and why they are protecting me and why they are scared. I really appreciate so much this book. I learned about Richard Schwartz because Gabrielle Bernstein interviewed him on her Dear Gabby podcast and I also read her book Happy Days. She raves about IFS Internal family Systems. She said she would even like to get certified in it. I can see why. Our soul-self-inner being-higher self needs to be included in our journey. It’s imperative!
