Story
While researching the toxic and addictive properties of sugar for Fat Chance, Robert Lustig made an alarming discovery - our pursuit of happiness is being subverted by a culture of addiction and depression from which we may never recover. Dopamine is the "reward" neurotransmitter that tells our brains we want more; yet every substance or behavior that releases dopamine in the extreme leads to addiction. Serotonin is the "contentment" neurotransmitter that tells our brains we don't need any more; yet its deficiency leads to depression.

I must say that Robert H Lustig is one of the most impressive men on the planet earth. With his enthusiasm, his research and his enduring commitment to make a difference in peoples lives is beyond impressive. How do we stay healthy, how do we thrive on this continent with all that is imploding and effecting us. Yes, a must read to cleanse one's mind of propaganda and take control on one's own life and well-being. My grandmother and all the others in a simpler generation will agree. A GIFT TO WOMEN KIND!
Reviewed: 09-17-20
I most certainly wished that I had read it this book years ago. It is an impressive, clearly reputable, analyzed data of proven scientific facts that rang true in my mind as a female with hormones. Too many years of health issues and dealing with medical professionals that proclaimed unproven, irrelevant propaganda and simply hypothesis regarding female hormones and health. It is very confusing being a consumer and patient to hear advice that does not make sense and does not help with women’s issues at hand. It is a blessing, a gift, to finally have deciphered medical evaluation and education regarding women’s general health, longevity, sleep, and bone health with regards to our hormonal make-up finally in my hands.
Thank you to the authors for this book, their words, their research, their commitment and their unfaltering continued support of peoples health.

Loved listening to her speak her truths and life's stories. I was inspired, in awe and mesmerized. I truly hope that every young woman of color read or listens to her words. The world would become a better place if women could head her life's lessons and feel the strength she conveys.
