I liked the storyline but when you’re about 3/4 way through it turns into way too much sex and explicit content. If that bothers you (as it did me) then don’t start this book.

Jason Wright never disappoints! This book is full of hope, the power of love and the resilience of the human spirit. I finished the book wanting to go to Shenandoah Valley and stay at the bed and breakfast that is central to the story.

One of the best books I’ve read in awhile. History lovers will be be enlightened by this one. Mystery lovers will be surprised at the ending. Romance lovers will adore the characters. Self-help readers will appreciate the message about second chances and forgiveness. Don’t miss this incredible story of redemption, secrets, and unconditional love from World War II history.

I absolutely loved this book! Especially enjoyed the parallel story line and how it enhanced this backstory into the events of the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping and rescue. And the incite into the Mormon culture was especially helpful to understanding how the pieces all fit! An excellent read.

What an example of resilience and hope! I loved the spirit in which this unspeakable tragedy was recounted. You felt the evil of Elizabeth’s captors as she recounted the experience but you were always aware of her courage, her character, and her awareness of her faith and value and importance of family throughout this horrific ordeal. Thank you, Elizabeth, for being a beacon of light for others who have suffered.

This book was just crass and full of filthy language. I am not a prude but this was more than just language, it was boorish and offensive.

What a marvelous tale! The intricacy of moving timelines was woven like silk threads through a fabric. There aren’t enough stars to give to this book. Truly one of the best I’ve read. Amy Harmon has become one of my new favorite authors. And the performances of Sasquatch and Will Danton were simply superb. I feel like I’ve been on a magical trip to Ireland with Anne & Thomas and that I knew the little boy, Owen, as well as the Grandfather, Owen. The ending was completely unexpected for me. I’ve read a couple of Novels by Amy Harmon but I will now be devouring everything she’s written.
