Story
All the world's a stage...even when you're teleported to a new world. Struggling actress Cara O'Sullivan was walking down the street of Galway one moment, and the next, she was in an ancient tomb in a faraway world. Alone in the dark with her cell phone as her last tenuous connection to home, Cara sings her favorite song. To her astonishment, her song casts a spell of light into the world...and from the depths, something hears her. Challenged by a ghostly knight, a tragic necromancer, and hordes of undead, can a young woman who does not believe in heroes become one herself?

Story
In her candid and provocative memoir, Wide Open, Gracie details the years she has spent exploring the poly lifestyle and creating her "chosen family." A fiercely intelligent feminist, she challenges traditional ideas about monogamy, fidelity, and sexuality. From swinger parties and strip clubs to sex toys and pornography, this is an edgy and thought-provoking read. Yet erotica and tenderness share space here, with Gracie's true love for both Hank and Oz—as well as her two children—coming through very clearly.

chapter 10 ends mid sentence. Somethings broken.

one has to guess what happens toward the end of chapter 10 to make sense of 11. Other than that, the storytelling wasn't very compelling. Not bad, good even in some places. Did not love it.

I would return it if I could. Had I known most the 5 star reviews came from people who got the book for free I would not have bought it. 50 reviews with 100% 5 stars. I feel like the author may have written a good book, but it does poorly in an audio book format. If there were a supplemental pdf with the examples or something this book would be much better. "as you can see in the example below..." but I can't because it's an audio book.
For example imagine this being read to you...
"def scope_test():
def do_local():
spam = "local spam"
def do_nonlocal():
nonlocal spam
spam = "nonlocal spam"
def do_global():
global spam
spam = "global spam"
spam = "test spam"
do_local()
print("After local assignment:", spam)
do_nonlocal()
print("After nonlocal assignment:", spam)
do_global()
print("After global assignment:", spam)
scope_test()
print("In global scope:", spam)"
Then imagine trying to keep that in your head as the author explains the programs output.

It's raining in Liscor. The spring rains have come and Liscor's entire geography changes with the dawning of the new year. The Floodplains of Liscor live up to their name, and the only way anyone is going to travel is by boat. With the rains come more monsters, dungeon delving, more goblins...not to mention some unwanted attention for the Wandering Inn.

Story
From best-selling author Anne Rice, writing as A.N. Roquleaure, in the traditional folktale of "Sleeping Beauty", the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind's unconscious. Now Anne Rice's retelling of the Beauty story probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the prince reawakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation.

ok. good writing, little knowlege of the subject.

I read this on recommendation... it was ok, but I feel like there is too much spanking and whipping fetish. I also feel like it was all to mechanical. Too many things that are significantly dangerous treated in a casual manner. I know it's fantasy, but it reads a little like erotica written by people who haven't had sex. She does a better job later in the series, but I feel like none of her main character had enough agency. There was also remarkably little aftercare. I know it's a non-consent fantasy story. Almost none of it (a tiny bit at the end) of it was consensual non consent I felt uncomfortable reading it. With that part missing it read more like a story of abuse and conditioning than erotica. The later books do better. All that said, the characters were interesting enough for me to finish listening to the series

Story
In the final volume of Anne Rice's erotic trilogy, Beauty's adventures on the dark side of sexuality make her the bound captive of an Eastern Sultan and a prisoner in the exotic confines of the harem. As this voluptuous adult fairy tale moves toward conclusion, all of Beauty's encounters with myriad variations of sexual fantasy are presented in a sensuous, rich prose that intensifies this exquisite rendition of Love's secret world and makes the Beauty series an incomparable study of erotica.

Nice conclusion to the series... didn't love it.

This was the best of the three. Far less formulaic than the first two. It also had the most clear agency of the characters. Overall I'm glad to be at the end of the series. The characters were compelling enough I had to finish the series. That said, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're really into spanking, whipping and pony play. There is too much non-consent and loss of agency for me to enjoy the series. Also the first two books had a surprising lack of aftercare. I feel like there is a dangerous chance people would take this as a guide or relationship template rather than the pure fantasy it is.

My name is Opal Yong-ae, and I’m a Cleaner. At least, I used to be. Thanks to the supernatural bad luck that turns everything I do against me, these days I’m more of a walking disaster. Getting rid of this curse is the only way to get my life back. Unfortunately, dragon magic is every bit as sneaky and deadly as the monsters behind it, and just as hard to beat.

Story
The DFZ, the metropolis formerly known as Detroit, is the world’s most magical city with a population of nine million and zero public safety laws. That’s a lot of mages, cybernetically enhanced chrome heads, and mythical beasties who die, get into debt, and otherwise fail to pay their rent. When they can’t pay their bills, their stuff gets sold to the highest bidder. That’s when they call me. I’m a Cleaner: a freelance mage employed by the DFZ to sort through the mountains of magical junk people leave behind. It’s not a pretty job, or a safe one....
