About this listen

Actor, singer...necromancer?

All the world's a stage...even when you're teleported to a new world.

Struggling actress Cara O'Sullivan was walking down the street of Galway one moment, and the next, she was in an ancient tomb in a faraway world. Alone in the dark with her cell phone as her last tenuous connection to home, Cara sings her favorite song. To her astonishment, her song casts a spell of light into the world...and from the depths, something hears her. Challenged by a ghostly knight, a tragic necromancer, and hordes of undead, can a young woman who does not believe in heroes become one herself?

I absolutely LOVE The Wandering Inn and was so excited for this book. However, I really wish she would just stick with the main characters. This was just an unlikeable character and a bunch of ranting. I would ha e much rather listened to another Wandering Inn book.

So much political ranting

This book was very good, it had so much and it was difficult at times (a great thing, meaning the story was stressful to listen) being well written. Highly recommend

Amazing Story

Love the book, great addition to the universe.

Is a good story about a character with some unresolved trauma struggling to believe in hope in a new world.

Pirate's worldbuilding and characterization is excellent, as always.

I think this would work great as a standalone, but the greater context of Innworld does give some cool easter eggs. I can't wait to see these characters again!

Andrea's got pipes!

it's so good like really really good, you should read it. right now. it should've been longer, the pacing was meant for a longer series

While it is hard to separate my bias as I am a big fan of the Wandering Inn series but even if you have never heard of that series you can comfortably read this without feeling lost. There is a solid amount of guilt and trauma for the readers bc the characters are mistakes are very understandable. Finally, there are a few Wandering Inn references but they are all friends or relatives of the characters, no direct crossovers but I do look forward when that eventually happens.

sad but amazingly good too.
