Story
As a martial arts instructor, Nori has always had a simple purpose in life: Help underprivileged kids build confidence and self-discipline. Now she'll have to do so for everyone else, too. It all started with a mist, one that gave everyone stats and levels, but also disabled technology and transformed animals and humans into cybernetic horrors that preyed on the living. Within months of its inception, civilization had crumbled.

exciting story (a little contrived) but satisfying conclusion. Characters are colourful and mesh well, Jeff Hayes brings them to life extremely well. Enjoyable. If you are going on a long drive or holiday, this is perfect if you are nerd orientated.

Story
The ninth floor. Nine armies, each led by rich and powerful aliens from across the galaxy. Each team has one objective: to capture and hold the castle at the very center of the battlefield. Strategy, alliances, pitched battles, and, of course, betrayal ... It all makes for great fun and even greater television. After all, none of these powerful aliens really die when they’re playing war. Except this time. This time, winner takes all. Those who fall, stay in the ground.

A little more serious, but you will still have moments of barking laughter and tea spitting.

I have been looking forward to this for quite some time... I purposefully did not read the book in order to enjoy the brilliant performance by Jeff Hayes. It still staggers me that this team up has not lead to an animated series. This book is very good, it is fantastic to see how Matt Dinnimin seemingly writes himself into a corner only to show you that it was planned all along. Can't wait for the next one. Going to listen to it from the start again right now ;)

Very irritating narration
Reviewed: 07-16-24
i was enjoying the book, but the singsong scream, and bad accents just drove me up the wall. when the narrator is portraying the main character it is very enjoyable and has a sootging timber, but the second he changes his voice to portray other characters it is like nails on a chalk board. I just could not carry on.

Story
Timothy Walter Bolton - better known as Timmy - has spent most of his life as a necromancer. When he isn't terrorising his enemies, he's plotting inside his castle, which is built on top of lightless chasms filled with nameless horrors and beings of a generally malevolent and megalomaniacal nature. But after one of his latest creations, a zombie hydra-dragon-bear, tries to eat him, he decides that maybe it's time to find a new, less dangerous, career.

Partially serious topics all colored with great situational humor. Occasional mispronounciation spoils the otherwise brilliant performance by the narrator. This is my first Estrella book... it for sure won't be my last.

great book, performance was not great

Fantastic litRPG, let down by the badly mispronounced english. The delivery is also a bit monotone. Accents aren't bad though and the differing voices for characters are good. But generally let down by the flagrantly mispronounced words with the emphasis placed on the wrong salable.

Story
The world teeters on the brink of destruction. The people who should be saving the Earth ignore Jason Asano's warnings and choose to loot the house as it burns down around them. He lacks the strength to save the world himself, but resolves to do it anyway, impossible be damned. The impossible, in this case, means seizing a power that no mortal should touch. It's a choice from which there is no turning back, and marks Jason's first step into a wider cosmos that he is not yet ready to face. Holding the fate of two worlds in his hands, Jason must decide for himself what home truly means.

I was wrong... so wrong
Reviewed: 08-25-22
First off, for what it's worth, I would like to apologize to Mr. Deverell for my review of his previous book. I could not see the whole and understand now that character development was the aim of books 4 and 5. After finishing the 5th book (all on audible ), I insisted that I would not buy the next one. I had a long trip planned for work and had an extra credit floating so I decided to give book 6 a go. I am eternally grateful that I overcame my stubborn and prideful nature to buy this gem. I will be pre-ordering book 7 as soon as I complete this review.
I would like to point out at this stage that I bought the book even after looking at the negative reviews, let me dissuade any people from doing the same, (looking at negative reviews, not purchasing this book). Reviews are mean spirited and almost exclusively written from an under qualified, Dunning-Kruger infested perspective. I know I don't have the talent nor the fortitude to create a series like the one I so inconsiderately reviewed.
I have been won over entirely by this book and instead of mentioning what I would like to see, I have finally realized that I have no idea what I'm talking about. It is best to shut up and enjoy the book ;)

Story
Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer, wakes upon an altar to find himself incarnated into the overweight body of a farmer who could have been his fatter twin. He’s not the hero. He’s not the villain. He’s certainly not the chosen one who is there to save the world. He’s a clerical error. It could be a bad joke, but apparently, it happens so often that they have a standard procedure for returning you.

I have only recently discovered the wonderful world of LitRPGs and this one is OK. Not mind blowing and not bad, just OK. The author is obviously talented and so is the narrator. the writing is good and paints a detailed picture, but the pacing of the book is somehow off. In my inexpert and probably invalid opinion; this book was easy to put down (turn off) and did not elicit that staying up until 2:00am to listen on effect that truly great LitRPGs have.

Story
Ancient Egyptian civilization is so grand our minds sometimes have difficulty adjusting to it. It lasted 3,000 years, longer than any other on the planet. Its Great Pyramid of Cheops was the tallest building in the world until well into the 19th century and remains the only Ancient Wonder still standing. And it was the most technologically advanced of the ancient civilizations, with the medical knowledge that made Egyptian physicians the most famous in the world.

Wonderful lecture series. Always annotates (disclaims) before demonstrating his own theories. Awsome experience for the layman (such as myself). Now I have to save up for my Egypt trip. Professor Brier makes history come to life, the lectures are engaging and very passionately delivered.

Welcome to the Gun Show! The top 10 list is populated. The sponsorship program is open. The difficulty is ramping up. The first three floors were nothing compared to what Carl and Donut now face. The Iron Tangle. An impossibly complicated subway system built out of the world's subterranean railway systems, all combined and then tied together into a knot. Up is down. Down is up. Close is far. The cars are filled with monsters, the railway stations are less than safe, and the exit is always just a few stops away.
